Dubbers Razor
AP Shave Cashmere Brush
Grooming Dept. Aion (Nai) Soap
Old Spice AS

The March Madness Sample Extravaganza keeps rolling along. This soap is very nice with a wood and earthy scent. Good strength that lasts throughout the shave. Very soft consistency. Nice solid performance. Thanks to HighSpeed for the sample.
The Dubbers Razor is at Fluffy Industries to get the full on Shogun treatment. It's a perfect example of a Solingen razor. Good steel, with a nice grind that sits flat on the hones.
No surprises. The shave was a nice relaxed affair. As I am used to wielding a Shogun edge. And as has been pointed out in my past posts. By sending a razor to me. And requesting a "Shogun Edge". You have indemnified myself and Fluffy Industries from any legal action or claims. Should you suffer any injuries as a result of the extreme sharpness that is imparted to your razor.
This blade will be cleaned, stropped and made ready to make the short trip back up I-95 to Jersey and stevechuckfrank  Tomorrow's razor will be Steve's Grandpappy's razor. While it has some patina. It is a solid razor with no issues that would be a cause for concern. Or make me not want to use it. It as well as the Dubbers actually required nothing other than a very light amount of "touch up" to get in really good shape. While I had everything out. I touched up six of my razors that had been up on the "tugging a bit shelf" So now they will go back in the cigar box and rotation.
Today's lunch with my buddy JoJo went very well. The wings were good and spicy. And my request for them to be crisp was honored. Pretty skippy day. Hope all of you had a nice Saturday as well.

[Image: 7NuplRd.jpg]Tonight's shave was... in a word SKIPPY.
Why you ask? Well don't worry you're gonna hear about it guys. Those of you that follow me. (That's everybody right?) Knows that I'm working on stevechuckfrank 's two straights. Tonight was his Grandpappy's F. A. Clauberg Tonsorial Gem. I decided that since I put the Shogun Edge on the Dubbers razor. The Gem would get a Translucent Arkansas finish.
That was a fortuitous decision. This razor slid around on my mug, like a stick of butter on a corn cob. It may look plain jane. But it now has a Playmate of the year edge.
The Hub City Red Cabin Soap smells really similar to Stirling Haverford. Which is good cause I like that. This sample from Dave in KY is still appreciated but because of scent it would be redundant to get a tub. Performance is very nice. The Nivea Bourbon Vanilla pairs well with this soap. And went on with zero warmth/irritation. I'm taking this as an omen that Monday is not going to be sucky.
Hope you guys are ready to get the week going.

Don't let this go to your head Ken, but IMO that was a beautiful writeup.  I'm writing this with a smile on my face like a guy who just ate a corn cob meticulously buttered up and served by a Playmate of the Year.  And FYI, I am now ready to get the week going.
