I hate to hear that Ken. Dogs have been a part of our family for several decades and it’s never easy to let them go.

I'm so sorry Ken. Bandit was surely a wonderful friend, and you and your wife did everything possible to help him. I'll bet he knew that. Our furry friends are pretty darn clever that way.

In any case, good luck my friend. There is no easy road, but if it makes it any easier, there is sunshine at the end of it.

I am grieving with you, Ken. I lost my little buddy Carson in April 2019. Someone shared with me that he was never meant to be my friend for life, but that I was meant to be his best friend for his life. It oddly helped me. I hope it can ease just a little bit of the pain.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts/words guys. They are appreciated.  I grew up with dogs. And wanted my daughter to know what having a dog was like.
I totally understand your decision Dave in KY

Nice setup. What do you think of Seaforth Spiced?  I really like it. Spearhead has a summer lime themed soap coming out sometime. If you check the blog on the website he discusses some interesting plans. I managed to pick up one of their experimental series soaps last fall as well and really like it

Hey Marko. Yes I agree. Spearhead has a winner in this scent and base. I am very happy with the soaps performance and scent.  The nice problem that we all have. Is the plethora of good soaps available. And then almost everyone one of them trying to come up with "better" bases and or new scents to tempt us into buying more products. I'm always wary of going through the SOTD threads. As all too often there is some jackwagon posting up pics. Featuring a soap I've never heard of. Or one that I know I already like the base. But in their "new limited edition/seasonal scent".  Then I, like the lemming that I am. Am off to somebody's website. To just check it out. I say to myself. But that mold spore has been planted in my brain. The next thing you know. I am sitting in my dump truck. At 0330 hrs. With Sock Puppet Bob telling me "Go ahead and buy it. We got overtime money coming".
That's how the last 3 new soaps wound up on my doorstep. Very delayed because of my long time nemesis Mom Nature. But she is also the reason for my extra income. Vicious cycle indeed.
My soap collection is not as large as others. Mostly thanks to a soap sample pass around I participated in. And my good friend Dave in KY (who gets a pass for not being a Tabac brand ambassador)  steering me towards a couple of my now favorite soaps. And away from blind purchases.
Hope your weekend is going well.

Fluffy, I think you might have an unhealthy co-dependant relationship with Mom nature  Big Grin   Maybe looking at all the white fluffy stuff you're pushing just plants the lather image in your brain?  Just kidding, she's the source of all things good and a whole lotta not so good if you don't pay her the respect she's due.

I feel exactly like you as far as looking at SOTDs - I do not need another soap I do not need another soap.... What if its not any good?  or worse!  What if its great?!  Its just too easy to click that little thingy on the phone device.
