First bbs ever!

After some serious change in my routine, I finally achieved what has been the closest shave ever. 
I  could always get a bbs on my cheeks, but never on my neck. 
well last night, I finally got the bbs on my neck. I finally got over my fear and was able to go across the grain on my neck. It's one of the harder areas to shave because of the way I had to hold the razor. 
I did the same prep as normal, but just slowed down and took my time. Making sure to really work on my technique. 
m pretty darn excited and just thought I'd share my happiness with ya'll.

Congratulations. That first BBS shave is always such a wonderful eye opener. Of course, since you've done it once, you know you will be doing it again and again and it will just become easier.

be happy. I can't EVER get a BBS on my neck with how my hair grows and my skin sensitivity.

Congrats! I am constantly trying new things with my shaves even though I can get great shaves with my regular routine. It's out of the fun of open blade shaving.

Find something and stick with it for awhile. Then change something to see how it affects the shave. Keep why works and discard what doesn't.

Congratulations on such a fine shave.

Sounds like you have a good basis down, but sometimes it serves well to step back and think about what we're doing and make some adjustments.

You'll enjoy many more "Wow" moments in the future, it only gets even better.

Before I achieved my true BBS (is it truly BBS? but I assume it is), I kept lying to myself, "this is pretty close to BBS so let's call it a BBS"
Now that I think about it, I was still pretty stubbly and when I finally achieved a real BBS with my newest and greatest gear, I was just amazed and excited I had to get my wife to rub my face.
She was still nonchalant about it, so that was a downer for me haha.

But yeah, before I actually achieved a BBS shave, it just seemed impossible to get it, but with right combination of razor, blade, and soap, it comes to you.
You just have to wait for that moment.

I now get BBS almost half of the time, and probably DFS the rest. I am very happy with it.

The additional test of a BBS is to take a cotton ball and run it over the skin. If cotton is pulled off of the ball it's not a BBS. But heck, you can feel it with the hand too.

my jesus...I've never done that test, but I am afraid to find out that my BBS really wasn't BBS..haha
