Didn't razorock make a Fine AB soap? I know the IB L'Americano is supposed to be that scent, but I thought I remembered seeing a Fine branded version before that.

RazoRock did indeed make a RazoRock "for Fine - American Blend" soap (One I'm still searching for to add to the den). However, it was mostly reviewed as having too light a scent.

The razor is certainly a point of interest, but being that I have a RRSS and recently acquired the ATT Slant system. I don't feel the urge to jump at it. However, the soap is another story all together. That I certainly am very interested in.

I'm really looking forward to Todd's new goods. I'm sure the slant is gonna be a huge hit!

Agreed, and with that price, I'm really sold on it. I'm also looking for something good to bring in my travels and not have to worry about rusting or anything like that. I think a slant in that material is perfect right now.

I have several slants, but no plastic yet.

I've never had a slant and I really want to give one a try but 15 grams seems just too light. I prefer medium weight razors so I'm undecided.

Sounds interesting, but this won't unseat my Ikon Slant or my Hoffritz. Interested in reading future experiences.

Same here with the iKon Slant, and like kamyon said, seems kinda light for what I like to shave with. Still, I'll keep an eye, nice looking razor to be sure, still might creep into my collection at some point Wink

I believe they said their slant has a price of $30 due to higher import costs than expected: https://twitter.com/FineAccoutrmts/statu...1314178048

I was just thinking this morning, after using a different razor when traveling, that all I really ever want to use is my Above the Tie and Ever Ready 1924. Then later on I remembered my Supply Provision Co. razor will be coming in a few weeks, plus I'll be buying the Fine slant razor. Le sigh.

I'm going to go out on a limb here with a prediction. Considering the ties between Mr. Fine and Joe (from RR), I bet the Fine razor is a 3D printed copy, or at least an injection molded auto cad replica of the older IB slant sold a few yrs ago. That said, I dont mind. I would like to own one. I would have liked to own one of the vintage IB slants but those who witnessed that sale, and the subsequent RR razor sales know that they are take-no-prisoner bloodbaths. So finding one of those vintage slants is impossible. I dont own a slant but would like to try this in particular.

TABAC soap formulation with AB scent? Sign me up. I use his aftershave as a cologne as it is that strong. Even then the first few hours of a morning I am self-conscious of my extreme scent---until it tames down about 1100 or so. I hope the soap isnt that strong. If so, I will have to let it "breathe" for a while.

To edit, I think its cool the soap will come in a cardboard box just like Williams. (Maybe it will have wax paper advertising for Mr. Fine aftershaves and not AV?) Also, I will keep my fingers crossed that a Snake Bite soap is on the horizon. John Snow be damned---Winter is over, Summer is coming!

I am much more excited about the soap than the razor personally. Fine American Blend is a personal favorite of mine.
