EFDan, if you are looking for a revitalized take on a New I would suggest checking out Delta Echo Razor Works.

Jay does a great job of breathing new life into these classics IMHO.

To add to the other suggestion, I bought my replated NEW SC from Sport Shaving, and a coworker worked with him as well. I was impressed with the service and his restoration.
David : DE shaving since Nov 2014. Nowadays giving in to the single-edge siren call.

Well I might have overpaid for this on Ebay, but what the hell it was $25. The top cap has been polished down to the brass obviously. I may send it to Delta Echo, or keep it as it is. So what I have been reading is that the blades for this were thicker back then, so should I shim it to make it shave better, or shave with it as is? I would love to hear your thoughts about it, because I have no idea. My oldest DE is an H2 Slim. I am still trying to tame the MMOC in my avatar. I think it is one of the best vintage safety razors I have at this point.

Did I just buy the LC or SC new lol? It said LC. Guess that's what I get for not doing more research.

It looks like a long comb to me, but I'm no expert.

EFDan, I have both the long comb and short comb NEW razors and that definitely looks like a long comb.

So what do these things usually sell for?

EFDan, that looks like a LC to me. If you paid $25 for it that's about in the upper midland range that I saw them selling for when I was looking. If you hate it, send me a message and I'll either buy it from you or trade you something for it. My LC looks like a gardening tool and it's one of my favorite shavers. I'd love to have one that looked better.
