Received a 1932, Canadian made Gillette Tech. $14 for the condition felt fair.
It should clean up nicely I think

Nice looking razor - if I'm not mistaken 1932 is the date of the patent and the razors were made sometime 1938-45 seems to be what I was able to find out about these Canadian made Techs. I picked up one locally last fall just like yours - Fat Handle Tech and then my dad found his old Slim Handle Tech for me which is pretty much the same as the fat except a slimmer handle. I shaved with both of them yesterday and they are a very comfortable razor. Tending to the mild side but you can get the BBS shave with a few passes and no drama. They're a great daily shaver IMO. I'm thinking about having them replated - at least the slim in any case so it can be handed on down to my son and ultimately grandson - 4 generations of the family using the razor sounds cool to me. You won't do that with your mach 3 turbo.

kwsher, yes, the brush and soap were Valentine's Day gifts for the wife so I haven't used either yet. But you know I'm going to eventually right, lol. As for the Tuscan Oud, I've only used it once so far and I must say I'm not too keen on the initial perfume-y hit of the scent. Smells a little feminine to me, which is odd because any reviews I read commented on how manly of a scent it is. I'm no fragrance expert by any means though. It gets much nicer on the dry down where more of the spicy and woody notes come out. It also has good longevity. Of course I am going to use it more and see if it grows on me. This is a scent where I probably would like it more as a soap.

Hmm... I like the soap but guess glad I don't have the AS. The soap is kind of an earthy, tobacco sort of scent. Not feminine but not overly strong either which may make the difference.

Maybe you could trade your wife the AS for the brush?

Waiting for a "somewhat" vintage Yardley Soap + Aftershave set, which I recently purchased off of eBay as new. Once it arrives I will post a picture. Heard so much about the soap, so I could not resist...
