Feather Blades

Thank you, all, gentlemen, for your comments. I have tried the Gillette Blacks and they are just fine, but, my favourite blade is the Wizamet Iridium Super in the blue packaging.
The Feathers only last me around 3 shaves and, then, they start deteriorating, whereas the Wizamets consistently provide me with 10 + shaves.

Need to revisit my Feather stash. It’s been quite some time.

I used a 2nd use feather in my charcoal Goods ?(Lv3 )last night. It was a nice close shave.besides blipping my nostril, going a bit high before the scoop and swipe.lol
I'm really starting to appriciate these. I just bought a 200 pack, got them yesterday, so I'm feeling positive about feather blades.

Edit: that's CG Lv3 and I'm not sure how I put Lv 2 but I guess my 12-13 hour work day had something to do with it.

For me, since I first was introduced to them in 2007, Feather DE blades have been the benchmark with which all other DE blades are measured. There are many other 'great' blades out there, but for me, Feather is the top of the heap.

Feather blades are made by a special stainless steel alloy .
Actually it's a high carbon content stainless steel alloy .
And it's very easy to take a very sharp edge ...
As easy is to lose it !

Maybe the sharpest blade around ,yes indeed .
But also the fastest in dulling ,too .
1st shave is rather rough ,
2nd being the best ,
while in the 3rd one the blade starts to tug and pull .
The 4th shave can be considered as torturing .

Platinum is a ductile and malleable metal ,still it does add in edge retention by an indirect way .
A Platinum coating offers a remarkable resistance to corrosion  .
A very thin and sharp blade edge will start deteriorate* by it's own when placed in a humid environment ,no need for actual use in shaving .
Platinum coating protects the thin ,sharp edge from such thing happening.At least while the coating lasts .

*Stainless steel alloys that belong to (or are similar with ) the AISI 4xx series  >the ones used in double edge razor blade manufacturing< 
are known for their excellent mechanical properties .Not for their  >relatively poor<   corrosion resistance .

AISI / SAE grades

I love the blades....I just hate, hate, hate the glue. It's totally unecessary and adds time to cleanup. I sought out and found a pretty good alternative.
