Yeah that would be cool.  I'm sure you can get one polished by a machinist or someone like that - I seem to recall seeing a polished ATT razor on the SOTD some point back.  It had to have been done after market. It looked cool, better than the very utilitarian finish they come with.  You could use the Atlas handle on my ATT as a mill file.  You could also get your AS-D2 coated in many cool colours at Delta Echo like churchilllafemme has done.

I thought about maybe having Delta Echo or someone do something to it, but after thinking about it I prefer to keep it original. If the name ever wears off of the top cap then I may polish it, but that has not even started to happen. I like the look of it as is, just think a polished option would be nice too.

I agree. I'd rather the original maker do the polished option rather than taking it to a shop or sending out or whatever. A bit more of a hassle than I'm willing to do.

If you scroll down to the customer questions section, somebody asked the same question and it appears that it is indeed the AS-D2.

Shameless plug. My BST has a stand and includes a feather popular.

I ordered one yesterday for $155 "free" shipping with Prime. Will be delivered tomorrow - SUNDAY Smile Experiences and feedback from beamon , Hobbyist , andrewjs18 , and others swayed me to get one.

I think you'll like it a lot...it's a beautiful razor and it's both very mild and efficient....so mild that if you don't find its correct cutting angle, it won't cut anything at all - at least that's what my experience was when I first picked it up. it didn't take me long to figure out where the razor needed to be to cut my whiskers properly.

Very mild. But you can buy ikon baseplate to make more aggressive.

Go right to ikon razors and get the blem ones if in stock.

One I had with the ikon open comb baseplate.

I miss it sometimes. But I moved on to SE razors.
