What are some of your favorite scents that haven't been made into a soap yet? In other words, if you could pick custom scents and have them made into soap, what would they be? Top 5 or so.

TSEvangelist I love your thought provoking posts. This one is excellent and my current favourite scents that aren't in any soaps would have to be all of the Chatillon Lux scents - I'm not sure what hawns and his partners have going on over there in St. Louis, MO but I like it. I do know that the CL business model is based on finely crafted artisanal post shave products and that soap isn't in their near future as far as I know but, if you're going to dream, dream big. Smile

Ha, well, we plan on making soap as soon as we come up with an idea that is better and/or unique to the market. At the moment, there are too many amazing artisans who are already doing great stuff that we probably couldn't top. But if I ever have an epiphany, then expect to see a soap!

I would like to see a shaving soap that mimics the scent of the Dragon's Blood bath soap I use from Good Earth Spa. Don't know quite how to explain the scent but incredible.

Anyone have any off the wall ideas? I often wonder if something like the original downy fragrance would be good in a soap? Part of me says no but the part that smells the clothes after they've come out of the dryer says yesSmile

Tuscan Leather is already made as a soap check out DeLuxeShaving Rockers.

In answer to Chris's question:

I love the smell of Bakewell Tarts is something I like so I had that created by Eric at Dapper Dragon. It's made up of Almond and Raspberry...he nailed it!

Other than that I have ideas for custom scents but they are more just things I will think will smell good.

Personally, I think the plethora of scents being offered, at the moment, is sufficient and, at times, overwhelming to many of us. Big Grin
Nonetheless, experimentation and innovation should never be limited.
Having said this, I cannot see anything new surpassing what is already being offered by quite a few artisans.  Shy
