if you had to pick a favorite bay rum though, which is your choice? Tongue Big Grin

My favorite classic bay rum is a tie between barrister & Mann and Gilbert Henry. Both are simply outstanding. I also enjoy bay rum and sandalwood splash from ogallala. Smells delicious . Haven’t tried the shaving soap. Only splash and bath soaps.

Another vote for PAA Atomic Age Bay Rum. Part of what I like about his bay rums (I've also got Classic) is there's no clove. I sported Atomic yesterday. My wife, who rarely comments on my aftershave (except the Veg, which she calls "powdered cow patty"), said I smelled like cloves. I pulled up PAA's website, and quoted their aversion to cloves, in part because bay is a cousin of clove, so why add the clove? I don't smell clove in Atomic (because there isn't any), but I do recognize a faint resemblance. Atomic is awesome stuff.

If you want a totally different spin on bay rum, Derby City Chop Shop is a great choice (although calling it a bay rum is a bit of a stretch). It's bourbon based, with a heavenly vanilla presence.

Plunder is very mildly scented in the soap and stronger in the aftershave but not a traditional bay rum. It’s still very nice.

My favorite Bay Rum was Dominica. As many of us know, it is no longer in production. Has anyone tried the Grand Bay Bay Rum that is now being imported by the same company?

I never tried Dominica, but I have Grand Bay & Lime and I like it.
My favorite bay rum splash is Rooster's Nest Bourbon Bay Rum.

I have never heard of Rooster’s Nest but I just looked it up and it’s sold out. I will be keeping an eye on that though!

For me, Stirling's performs better, but Barrister & Mann edges them out with the scent and though somewhat antithetical of shaving, Grave Before Shave bay rum bread balm has a fantastic scent and performance.
