FOMO for my use case, seems to be just seeing things disappear that perhaps I used to like or maybe didnt get a chance to try.  You can list out the artisans that are gone now, from Stroppe Shoppe, K Shaveworx, Mickey Lee, Cold River Soap Works (Surprised me big time), Reef Point, Tiki, LeBelle, Shaver Heaven etc.  I should have stocked up on Cold River soaps I feel so in that case I've "missed out." Now I try to really support the artisans that remain which I appreciate like Barrister and Mann or Noble otter so that hopefully they will be around for a while, many times stocking up on scents like Oceana or what have you in case they dont get made again.

Then you have the razors. I never got a Charcoal although they were around when I was pursuing razors and now I've "missed out." I did not get a Yates Winning razor which sounds like it'd been perfect for me. It looks like maybe Razor Emporium is standing Yates back up but who knows if it will be the same.

Brushes? Well one cant get a top shelf Rooney Finest anymore, or a Morris and Forndran, thats all gone, Brad Sears is gone, Wiborg is gone, and I think I saw another brushmaker, might have been Mozingo? Gone.

So yeah my thing tends to be, that might not be here tomorrow so I have to grab it or else I'll miss out, and it can be a really terrible approach because I have regretted purchases made based on this line of thinking. I am sampling different razor blades right now in case Astra disappears, apparently they already moved locations of manufacturing but I have not been able to tell a difference. I should probably just buy 5000 blades and be done with it. Crazy stuff.

As far as budget, luckily for me, I've never had a problem with ruining my household or marriage because my wife and I have a "blow budget" which we get monthly to spend on anything we want.  This money is just purely for enjoyment and that is what I use for wetshaving purchasing and in some instances, I get birthday/Anniversary gifts that could be wetshaving as well.  And one has to just say thats it, thats all I can spend.

Well I share what I thought was interesting. Had never heard of the term F.O.M.O, so I learn one new thing.

Thater, Black Eagle, Vie Long, Bruji, Romera….all gone. Shavemac has scaled back to selling just their smaller brushes at selected retailers.

Grab those DG, Varlet and Simpsons brushes while you still can.

Wow I knew about Thater but Shavemac? That configuration tool on their site was incredible. What a shame.
