A couple of quick ones.
FlashOne aka Salvatore over in Italy has shipped some of the I Coloniali aftershave to my Euro vendor Anticatura and he will send it to me so between the Shave Soap and the Aftershave I'm sure I'll get a good take on the scent and I'll begin to work on it.
Speaking of Anticatura, for all my Euro customers I'm shipping out an order today that has a lot of Skin Food Splashes as they really like the Alcohol splashes. Anel the owner has a US Shipping forward service that is licenced to ship Alcohol.
kind regards
Frank
I may not have had the right one but the I Coloniali aftershave I had didn’t smell anything like the mango soap. The one I had was like a milk. Nice smell but different. Was there a matching splash/post shave to the soap?
Marko, you are right! ..... There was no matching afs or asb. They smelled nothing alike. The soap is the homage target.

Thanks for the information about the difference between the soap and aftershave. Well I’ll get to smell it but if it’s not like the soap which is the target then I’ll just stick with that as they’ve scent target. FYI there’s a note in the soap that’s very familiar that keep avoiding my my memory but when I get that one I think the others will come more easily. I open the jar at least twice a day and do this routine. I sniff the jar deeply close my eyes and take it all in and then clear my nose by sniffing deeply through cloth ( the cofffe beans don’t work and professional perfumers don’t use them ) I tell people that when going to a fragrance counter. Just use your sleeve or any kind of fabric as that’s how you clear your nose. After that I do the same thing and the one thing I’m certain about is the mint in the scent. It is not spearmint, peppermint or any other mint most are familiar with. It’s almost like a type of toothpaste mint or breath mint I’ve smelled before and I have to try several ideas I have regarding the mint note. I get a woody note that’s somewhat dry, there’s a light spicy note and a subtle fruity note. One note keeps coming up in my head and I’ve ordered it to see if I’m on or off base on that because it’s been a long time since I’ve laid my nose on it and that’s Mahogany. So I’m working on it guys. And a footnote. The more I smell it the more I like it and I’ll say whomever blended the aromatic ingredients did a good job as it’s very smoothly blended as no notes jump out and clearly announce themselves. The mint note is about the only one that sort of does. Not a simple dupe but I’m determined to get it right. The challenge has been put forth not only by some members but by myself and anyone that knows me well knows I like a good challenge. Unless of course I really dislike a scent then I have no motivation to chase it.
Ok I’m going to try to get back to sleep and sorry for the rant but I do some of my best ranting when I’m lying in bed and have a hard time getting to sleep.
