Sorry to break-up the betting pool but is this what the ETHOS Vanilla Safi is supposed to look like? On the bottom of the jar, you can see where the soap is adhering to the plastic but there is definitely a 'marble' look to it. I'm not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be or it needs to be stirred...

Very well explained and I’ll add to that. I have some of the early Dragonsbeard Soaps and they are extremely dark all the way through. When I make the Vanilla Safi it’s a crème/tan color and then shortly afterwards the top of the soap starts to get darker and that darker shade begins to travel downward. If you were to cut a pie shaped section out you’d see that it almost looks like Boston Cream Pie for a while until the darkness goes all the way to the bottom. It’s 100% real Vanilla and that’s what it does. Synthetic Vanilla or a Fragrance oil may have some Vanillin in it and the soap will also change color but not to the extent of using all pure Vanilla. Nature of the ingredient.

Re: Vanilla Safi
Thank you Dave (Dave in KY), Doug (mrdoug), and Frank (Dragonsbeard) for the information. I will now put the Vanilla Saifi soap and splash back into the safe to be ready for the next use...
