So these shipped out to Pasteur Pharmacy today and should/hopefully be there on Friday. If so we will both be releasing the Never Sleeps on Monday. If not then Tuesday morning for sure.

Anyway the Never Sleeps is on its way to a release date and once again since this was a scent that was originally requested by my son who lives in NYC that wears this type of trendy scent and after discussing this with the owner of Pasteur’s who was familiar with it he wanted us to do a collaboration on this one. The scent is inspired by a NYC trend of layering both Le Labo’s Santal 33 and Another 13. Of course it’s not exactly the same but I got close enough using both natural and synthetic aromatics. It was actually one of the easiest ones I’ve done out of all my cologne type scents. Succes still remains the one that took the longest to develop which was my first one I did for the ETHOS brand. I used to be more into these types of scents years ago and developed quite a few but as many know I’m definitely more interested and enjoy using all natural aroma ingredients and what’s referred to as natural perfuming. 95% of all colognes and EDP’s are 100% synthetic in case anyone wasn’t aware of that even though many market the aroma profile to make the buyers think their natural but if you look at the actual ingredients if their listed you’ll see their all synthetic aroma ingredients. Nothing wrong with that and there sure has been some masterpieces made by some of the master perfumer’s but natural perfuming is up and coming in the world of fragrance and I’m onboard that train more and more as I move along on my personal journey of fragrances. I have a big online class this February with a well renowned natural perfumer that I’m very excited about and I just invested in a series of books that dwell deeply into the art and has hundreds of formulas using only naturals.

Frank, thanks for sharing some of the inspiration for this release. I haven't had a chance to sample either of the inspired by fragrances (although Santal 33 is on my decant acquisition list), so I had a quick question from an earlier post on the Never Sleeps ingredient listing. I believe that post mentioned iris essential oil as one of the ingredients. I was wondering if you could share a bit more on how the iris notes come across in the overall aroma blend? Looking at write-ups on Santal 33, it appears iris is a top note. So I am imagining it would play a similar role in Never Sleeps.

Hello my friend.
As I mentioned it’s not exactly like the two scents layered but definitely has a very close vibe to it and to me it’s also stronger. Iris has a presence in the blend and smelling it raw I can detect it but it’s not a dominant scent which I don’t get in the le Labo Santal 33 as well but there is a combo floral presence in the scent passing with a woody, slightly creamy and spicy and the florals and citruses are there as well. Dry down is kind of a melody of all the notes blended into a casual but can be dressed up date night scent.
Hope that helps
I am excited for the Beef Tallow Skin Cream! I've been looking for alternatives for my current skin cream (La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+ Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream). Right now, my favorite alternative is the pumpkin butter by Haus of Gloi. Also, I would love the bar soaps. I used to buy from J.D. Bauer Botanicals, but I kept having issues with my orders. I have a bunch of soaps from trying several natural soap brands, but I still haven't found one that I would stick to. If you work something out with the soap maker, I will definitely buy them.
