ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

So I don’t think I shared this with you yet. So my longtime  cosmetic chemist friend Joe who is considered one of the best at hair care and skincare product development and has worked with many major brands throughout his career helped me develop my latest formula of Revitalizing Facial Serum along with a super high quality ingredient supplier both of which I’ve worked with since 1991 on various projects. 

When Joe saw the final product up on the ETHOS website ( specifically the Vanilla Safi Version) he messaged me saying are you crazy selling that at $50.00 for 2 oz ( the other scents are in the $40’s price range ) he sent me an ingredient list of a very high end brand and asked me what I thought of the formula and at that point he didn’t mention the price. I looked over the ingredient list and replied some good ingredients in there but a bunch that quite honestly I wouldn’t want on my face. So he replied saying exactly! Then sent me the link to the product and I was shocked at the price for $780 for 1.7 oz.what he was trying to point out in our next conversation was your product with the quality and technically advanced ingredients in the formula is way underpriced. I told him I’m in the Wet Shaving business where I’m dealing with guys mostly that are not generally as knowledgeable about skincare as women. He said you need to expand your customer base to include women. I came back and said my friend at this stage of my life/career I’m not interested in trying to turn ETHOS into a multimillion dollar company. I just want ti make a decent living off it and enjoy my last life. I’d like to work 4 to 5 days a week and enjoy the weekends to myself. He understood but told me your still crazy to off that serum for that price. Lol 

Well that train has left the station and I’m content with the way things are. Anyway I thought I’d share that story with you my shaving brothers. I did a little promo on social media with these images as you can see the differences in the two ingredient lists. The one Joe sent to me and the ingredient list of the Vanilla Safi Revitalizing Serum. 

Post shave/skincare products are important to maintain healthy skin. They provide skin benefits that no shave soap can provide at the same level. 

Check it out the ingredient list. One’s natural and the other ones got both natural and synthetic ingredients in the formula. Be interesting to compare the comments and pl’s I’ve gotten on social media.

Hello everyone,

Just received the AYLSWORTH APEX-SS / Standard Plate yesterday - wow!

It's beautiful, smooth and bloody efficient ... I'm going to handle it a bit more lightly tomorrow - I was surprised by its low Blade Gap - 0.7 mm and slightly positive Blade Exposure - 0.05 mm.

ETHOS Lemoncello Soap - the scent could be stronger but still great!

You guys were right about Honeysuckle. Great scent!

I had a small amount and it didn’t have much scent to it and I didn’t know the scent profile. So I’d need at least 2 oz total and I would need the scent profile to give it a shot

A profile Frank - if you want to chase this. It has legendary live in the community. Scent better than performance.

Now that’s what I needed and a good sized sample of the shave  soap and we can get this train a rolling. No predictions on how long but as soon as I get the soap I’ll check my inventory of the Aromatics in the profile and order anything I will need. Then it’s about how much of each and that’s where the shave soap helps a lot. I’ll work it into my schedule and along the way when I feel it’s ready for testing I’ll send out some samples to those that are most familiar with the original one.

That would be awesome as there’s no better way to get the closest to the actual Aroma blend than in an Alcohol based product like a splash or EDP as it’s pure aroma rather than in a soap base
