Awesome photo as always but I gotta ask how’s that razor and what gap is it. Any comparisons to any other SE ? Just curious. Good looking razor too.

Thanks

Frank
It’s the Alpha Spirit and I believe the gap is .90

I’m only a couple shaves in - both with Feather Proguard- its VERY smooth with excellent efficiency.  It’s light and nimble like a Vector but more smooth to me so far….

ETHOS AND LAMBDA- JUST PERFECT!

Today's shave was just a wonderful start to the weekend. I paired the Lambda Ares and the Ethos Tonka Bean with a PermaSharp blade and the results were fantastic. You all know that I am a Lambda Fan, so there needs nothing more to be said other than THE BEST. But the Ethos Tonka Bean is truly a fantastic soap. The base is protective and slick and helps glide the razor and blade over the face with no issues. The after shave has great skin ingredients and post shave feel. But better than that, the scent is fantastic.
Just a wonderful shave.

PRE:          ETHOS PRESHAVE (this really works well. It does add additional slickness, protection and helps build the lather even more)
BOWL:       HC&C STAINLESS
BRUSH:     SEMOGUE MISTURA
BLADE:     PERMA SHARP (1)
RAZOR:    LAMBDA ARES V2
SOAP:       ETHOS TONKA BEAN
POST:       WARM RINSE, WARM FACE WASH WITH ETHOS, COLD RINSE, ALUM, WITCH HAZEL, THAYERS MILKY MOISTURIZER
A/S:          ETHOS A/S

SCORE: 11/10. BBS+

Pre ...... Soap & Water (PdP Ocean Air Bar)
Brush .... Wald A1 (29mm)
Soap ..... ETHOS Bay Rum (F Base)
Razor .... Alpha Spirit
Blade .... Proline P-30
Post ..... ETHOS Bay Rum SFS
Finish ... Bentley Intense For Men EDP

Today's shave was delightful, and distinctly above par for me.  Every piece of kit played a part.  First, I'm liking the Alpha Spirit very much - even better the second time around.  Second, like many people in the USA, today's heat was oppressive, topping off at 98° in my neck of the woods, so the ETHOS Bay Rum was an extra special treat.  And finally, face lathering with the A1, now that I have more experience with it, is as good as it has ever gotten for me.

FRANK:  Another +1 for the Alpha Spirit.  Keep in mind that I'm only two shaves in.  That said, these are my impressions:  The angle is easy to find.  The flow though is sufficient.  It's easy to hold and manoeuvre.  It's on the light side for a stainless razor (62g).  It's uber smooth, but it seems to cut better than a razor this smooth should cut.  My maiden voyage was an unusual shave, but today's shave was a glass smooth BBS with one tiny, self healing nick.  Nevertheless, I'm still reserving judgement on the efficiency.  It seems too good to be true.

I just made and put up a new batch of Blood Orange Tallow Crème. I’ll note that this batch has a new Blood Orange I got from Italy and the supplier said this was distilled from the Blood Orange groves in Calabria which is famous for the the best in the world and this was from the 2023 yield of Blood Orange. All I can say is it smells amazing when compared side by side to the other Blood Orange I had from a US supplier. I immediately ordered more as I have plans on making this scent in the F Base as well moving forward.

So after making the batch I put it in a big SS tub so my assistant and I could fill the jars and as I was carrying the very large tub of the crème I accidentally hit the side of a cart and the tub fell to the ground! Thank Goodness it fell straight down on its bottom but hit hard. About half the shave Crème went skyward and spilled on the concrete floor so I lost all that soap. I can’t lie I was really upset with myself not only for not having a good grip on the tub ( my hands were slippery) but also for rushing to get the tub to the bench were we fill the jars. So bottom line is the decent sized batch turned into a small batch. I had a pre - order for a few 7.5 oz jars which I filled which left me with even less 4.5 oz jars to put up on the website so if anyone who’s been waiting for this batch of the Blood Orange I wanted to share that there are not a whole lot of them. There’s definitely not enough to distribute to all my vendors so this batch will be available only on the ETHOS website. They will all get the F Base when I get it made which will not be soon as I have other scents scheduled before the Blood Orange.

Also a note: This batch of the Blood Orange Essential Oil looks like the dark red fruit color which is totally different than the clear version I have from the US supplier and it obviously not only smelled a lot better but it had an effect on the color of the finished product and the photo is pretty darn close to what it looks like in person.

Great shaves all.

Ok so we finished up making the Blood Orange and the Lemoncello and I gotta say the natural infusions really made a difference not only in the scent but the color of the splashes. Took a couple of photos and messed with them as far as backgrounds for Social Media but you get the idea.
