F Base

1) Melange de Agrume
2) Bergamote
3) Blood Orange

After that, no particular order.

Is this list coming before or after Colonia?

I'm not sure about Blue note. I've never tried it but I do have Jazz Club, and to me, it's a cool weather scent.

The simple explanation is I’ll be mixing old with new so as I’m making let’s say the new Kailua F Base I’ll make an out of stock one as well like Greenfresh or Blood Orange as an example so Colonia will be mixed in as well.

Hope that explains things.

Happy Father’s Day!

Hope all you Dads have a great day with your families!  My son’s home from NYC and I’m spending the day with him.  Starting with breakfast, then Cars & Coffee, then a family picnic.  Got a great day weather wise  which is a bonus.

See ya tomorrow!

F Base?
1) Bergamotto
2) Blood Orange

The others aren’t really in my personal wheelhouse…

Sounds like a great day buddy enjoy it!

It’s hot down here - need to pull out the Greenfresh and Watermelon mint for later in the week!

Thanks Frank! A happy Father’s Day to you as well and to the rest of you fathers out there.  I’m glad you’re spending some quality time with your son and you’ve got a beautiful day as well. Life is good.

Just ordered this.. as some may know I lost my shaving bowls in the fire and I only have a Timeless at the warehouse to test lather so I wasn’t sure what to go with and this one caught my attention. Wondering if anyone has this and what they think about it.

Apparently from the reviews ( really good ones ) it’s bigger than it appears which originally was my concern based on the photo.

I like the idea it has a place to place my brush.

I don't use a bowl much, but I do have an emergency collapsible dog dish that works great for lather making. I like that it clips to my shelf and stays slim and out of the way. I think I paid ~$5 for two?No brush holder, though.

I had considered grabbing one of those with a brush holder from AliExpress. They're about the same cost ($5) for one. At least it looks the same. But I really don't use bowls enough to waste the storage space.

I'll be curious to hear how it works for you Frank. Might even change my mind. Lol.

Wow $5! That’s something I should note as it may be the same. I’ll look it up tomorrow. I like the collapsible idea and that would be great for travel. I was going to replace my Copper Captain’s Choice and I still may but I wanted to try something different.

I’ll post up my thoughts my next shave.

Thanks for the info my friend!

I like the Captain’s Choice copper heavy. It does the job and looks good. A bit heavy for travelling maybe. I can’t tell the dimensions of the bowl you posted above Frank, but it looks a bit deep for my liking. The problem I have with bowls that are too deep is that it’s easy to knock your brush handle off the sides of the bowl potentially damaging the handle. Not an issue with cheap handles but if you have nice brushes you might not like that. The Captain’s Choice bowls, copper and ceramic all have low side walls. The Captain knows what he’s doing.
