No sir you have not missed it and I’m expecting it to be around the end of February and all the Vanilla Safi Products will be available.

This time it won’t only be the Shave Soap but a Skin Food Splash & Lotion and a Rejuvenating Serum.

I’m actually excited about this V4 version and all the products that will go with it. I’ll be posting up some info on it soon.

So today I had an experience. I had to make some Skin Food Splashes as I’m trying to get the vendor orders out the door. Anyway the second to the last one I made was Violeta and then after that I made Bergamotto. There was a tiny bit of Bergamotto left in the beaker and I mean about as much as you’d normally use after a shave so I thought to myself why waist it so I splashed it on as I really love Bergamot even though I wear it a lot more in warmer weather.  So then I made the Violeta and I was like wow that is so strong! Very green and I don’t know how many have smelled it but I’d never try and make an EDP as that would surely be a projection monster. Well after work and I’m driving home and all I could smell was Violeta even though I didn’t splash any on or get any on myself it was like an aura that wouldn’t leave me. I got out of my vehicle twice to in the cold rainy weather and you’d think it would have faded into oblivion but no way! It is still with me.  How many others have experienced this or is it just me or is it Mandarino Fumos equal?

The Violet Absolute is extremely powerful straight from the bottle but man even at 6% dilution in the Skin Food Splash it screams out loud!

Frank, You are making me want to pick up the matching splash for Violeta. I think it is the only one I don't have a matching splash for, as I wasn't certain at the time what a violet based scent would be like. But it turns out to be very enjoyable, particularly the green notes. Separately, I have been meaning to reach out on my experience with the Vetivert scent and how deceptively present it can be, in a good way. But will save that for a different time to not derail a Violeta discussion.

Contest time! 

Ok so this has been planned for a while now and it’s time to get things going. On April 8th 2024 there will be a total eclipse of the sun and Rochester NY is the largest city to be in the path of totality for this duration in proximity to major cities like NYC and Boston on the east coast. In fact, Rochester has been named one of the best cities to watch the 2024 eclipse by National Geographic, Fodor's and Thrillist. Hotels and Air B&B’s etc are booking up as the city expects thousands of people to come to get a good view of the solar eclipse. I’m doing a one time collectors edition run of the Shave Soap, Skin Food Splash and a Bath Bar Soap. These will sold as sets only  and will also include a pair of  ISO 12312-2 compliant and CE certified eclipse glasses. 

So I have some strong ideas on the scent but I want to  hear some suggestions from you and even more importantly “ a name for the scent “ and if we use the scent and the name you get a full set or if you come up with just the scent or just the name of the scent we end up picking you get a full set. So it’s possible to have 2 winners if one picks out the scent and another picks out a great name for the scent. If I don’t see anything suggestions on the scent and go with one of the ones that I’m thinking of using then there will be just one winner who comes up with just the name of the scent. An I will use one of the names for sure  There’s not a lot of time so I’ll pick a winner on Monday morning at 10 am EST. 

There’s just a couple of simple rules. You  can post up to 3 scents and 3 names BUT YOU HAVE TO QUOTE THIS POST to keep it going as all it takes is one post unrelated to this one ( example) like a SOTD or some product question post to make this contest post not seen especially if the post starts a new page so make sure to quote this post! 

The label seen below is what we are going with and there will be some special packaging for this release/ set. 

So let the contest begin!
