Frank, just opened the cupboard where I store my soaps and splashes and I thought the aroma blend had leaked. Was hit with a strong Ruby Red Grapefruit scent. It's perfusing the rubber teat.  Big Grin

I love Grapefruit and for me I don’t want any other showing that try to take front stage. Sometimes simplicity is king.

All the best

Hello all

Just wanted to post this here.

So on October 21st  ( Saturday ) there is a Shave Meet Up at Pasteur’s Pharmacy and I’m meeting up with 2 of my shaving buddies. If anybody wants to come just go on their website and register. I talked to Leon the owner and he said the more the merrier. So if you live near that and can make it Id sure like to meet some of the folks that I talk to on here in person.

Just a short story. Back some years I was on another forum and made a few shaving friends and you know. You talk on the forums and then start to PM, text or email each other and then the phone chats. Well that what happened to me at least. Well that is how my friendship with Mark ShaveMD began and he and I and 5 other guys met up at the Maggard Shave Meet and we had an excellent time and from that time on all of us got closer as friends and especially Mark and myself. Some of the guys have dropped off the shave scene or they still practice the hobby but quietly.  Mark and I stayed active in the community and he along with the group that met up for that Shave Meet where the guys talked me into making my own shave products as they know I was a product developer in the cosmetics industry but focused on Skincare & Haircare products. So many sub story’s about group of guys and their involvement in the wet shaving community I could go on for hours.

The bottom line is that good things can come from these Shave Meets so if you ever get a chance to go to one I highly suggest it.

This is going to be fun and as a bonus I get to spend some time with my son as he lives in NYC.

Hope to see you there!

Frank

Hello Guys.

Need some opinions.

So between now and the 1st upcoming year I’ve been giving a lot of thought to what soaps I want to bring back that have been made before but not in the current updated F Base. So I thought I’ll list the ones I will do this coming Fall & Winter which will then take me to the Spring and Summer projects.

Ok before any of the ones below on the list are made I have to get the first  4 on the list out before making any of the others. An the first 4 will be coming fairly quickly I feel a little better I finally got the warm weather scents out but obviously late as the last was the Watermelon Mint. I won’t go into a long explanation but bottom line, life situations and not being able to get good staple help. Anyways it is what it is but with my current assistant who I’m really happy with we are moving much faster.

Also squeezed in between the soaps listed from 5 on down will be brand new releases scattered throughout the Fall and Winter so basically out of the last 4 on the list how would you like to see them come out in order.

1. Dragonsbeard V4
2. Beaute Sauvage
3. Tractional Bay Rum
4.Tortola
5. Lost Souls
6. King of the North
7. Vanilla Safi
8. Tonka Bean

I take all your opinions seriously so this isn’t for fun. I’ve got some fun stuff and a couple of contests planned for the upcoming months.

All the best

I'll second Matt's choice, Frank.

Never tried Lost Souls, so top of my list.

Dragonsbeard  I'll give you my choices, and why.

1. Tonka Bean - Super versatile scent, you can use it year round, extra goodness from the tonka bean butter.  My #2 ETHOS scent after Dragonsbeard.

2. Lost Souls - Although I have not smelled this one, the description sounds like something I might like.

3. Vanilla Safi - If you love vanilla, this is as good as it gets.  Thing is, I think most people can only take so much vanilla.  I bought a 1oz when it was offered almost two years ago. I immediately bought a 7oz jar.  I'm still working on the 1oz because you only need a little soap and I get tired of vanilla after a couple of days.

4. King of the North -  I bought it, used it a couple of times and now it's in someone else's den.  I don't like any cooling effect from anything except my air conditioner or a dip in the lake on a hot summer day.
