You may be asking what that has to with ETHOS Grooming Essentials. Perhaps not much, except that I don’t like products sitting on my doorstep for 10 days or cared for by the post office, so it was nice to see Rosa products back in/still in stock this long after the drop.

Thanks for that Frank.

Sounds like some beautiful country your flying over!

I’ll put a Rosa aside for you just in case my old friend.

I put my order in while on the planeFrank, but thank you just the same. (They have WiFi on this plane.). We are just now entering the landing pattern, and the transaction was complete, probably two or three states ago.  Talk about enabling!

Hey Frank, I wanted to ask this publicly in case others have the same question. Up until I received my Ravello TC all my other creams were actually fairly firm and I could load directly from the jar. Ravello is a real cream and it's so soft that when I put it into my warmed up copper lather bowl, it sort of melted. Still created an excellent lather. What I want to know is, can I leave the lid off for some period of time and see if the soap will firm up? My biggest concern is I don't want to lose any of the fig scent from letting the cream air dry. While I'm writing this I'm wondering if I scooped everything out and put it into a wider container to expose a bit more surface area. For sure I don't want to mess up anything and if my best bet is to just leave it as is, that's just fine too.

Exceedingly fond of the Canadian people despite recent government actions. Canadians really are the finest people ever encountered as a group or culture exhibiting what we in the States (being delusional) prefer to think we represent.

Hi Frank

Yes you are correct the Ravello Tallow Shave Creme came out softer than the others I’ve made and here’s the reason. All the other cremes sat for at least 2 to 4 days before they went into a jar as I was not only playing with the fragrance levels but I was probably either waiting on the labels or I was doing something else but in the case of the Ravello I made it and put it in jars the same day. So what I’m thinking is the others I’ve made and left out had a chance to loose some of the moisture. Kind of like curing shave soap but in a cream it shouldn’t be necessary but it may be an important step that I need to do since the Creme is going in a jar instead of a tube. I’ve heard about this subject before from a customer who’s on another forum and I don’t want my customers to have to work to hard to get a good lather so what I did and suggest to you is just take lid off for a couple of days and let it sit. I don’t think you’ll loose any scent as mine didn’t and whatever you do never load from the jar and that would also go for the other Cremes as moisture is not a friend in a Creme in a jar after it’s made.
Soaps molecular structure is different and it can take some water as it just lays on the surface and hopefully there’s not much as it should just be coming from the water on the brush as I’m not a fan nor do I recommend blooming my soaps or pretty much any other soaps with the exception of a triple milled soap. Example MDC cures their soaps for 3 months or more to remove moisture and it’s a better soap because of that step as compared to if they let it cure for let’s say only 3 to 4 weeks.

With Creams I suggest either bowl lathering or face lathering.. I’ve also done hand lathering if I’m only doing a quick one pass shave.

Hopefully leaving the lid off helps and if it doesn’t then get in touch. I’ll make sure to let the next batch sit out for a few days next time.

Thanks for the feedback!

Best regards

Michael I saw your order come in as I’m at the warehouse today making some goodies. I’ll get it out either on Tuesday if I don’t have to work at the CBD labs or on Wednesday for sure.

Thank you kindly!

Frank

For those of you who have used the new Rosa shave soap or cream, please describe the scent and performance. What is your impression of the scent strength and how long can you still smell it after shaving? Thanks
