Just mirroring what has already been said, speedy recovery and the shave products will be there tomorrow. First and foremost a person needs to take care of themselves. You’re no go to the business if you keep getting there and leaving when you could spend that time getting rest. Get healthy and feel better.

Hello all

I thought while I was home healing and really freaking bored I could at least talk about things that aren't health related but shaving related. After all that's what this forum is all about and I've certainly got lots of time on my hands.

So with that said as I've stated before one of my missions related to ETHOS is to bring my customers the latest and best ingredients to make their daily ritual of taking care of their general grooming needs from head to toe for men & women. This new Revitalizing Serum is focused on the face. I mean you could use it anywhere but that would get expensive IMHO. Any way it is great for Normal, Dry, Sensitive or Combination skin types.

Below you'll find the ingredient list for the Sandalo Artistico Revitalizing Serum. It is an example of my latest Serum formula and it will not only replace all of my existing oil based Serums. My plan is to offer this serum to match most of the Aromas that are in a Shave soap or Shave Creme but maybe not all of them as it's my guess that most will opt out for the Unscented version and that's for sure when it comes to female customers. Also some Aroma ingredients such as Lavender, Rose, Sandalwood, Tonka Bean as examples do have some skin benefits to them so just an added bonus you could say but make no mistake the ingredients in this newest Serum are extremely beneficial with no need for any Aroma ingredients added. What I'm going to do is add this serum into the Custom Collection so if someone wants a unique Aroma blend made with this Serum I will do it and obviously offer my recommendations on whether I think it would be a good move or not to add the requested scent.

Also I want to be clear, this formula was a group effort between myself, a cosmetic chemist friend of mine and a large ingredient company. This Serum offers some brand new technology that's just been released to the skincare industry but I believe based on the company input I'm probably the first to actually get them into a formula. I can't take credit for that as my cosmetic chemist friend Joe was the one that made me aware of these new ingredients.

So what's new. Well for one two different delivery systems of bring the hydrating benefits of Hyaluronic acid to an oil based product.. that's a first as most all are water based. One of the ingredients delivers the smallest molecular weight HA though Liposome technology using Lecithin. The Hyaluronic acid oil is another first and this ingredient offers so many possibilities for other formulas such as putting it in any kind of soap such as Shaving soaps, Body oils and Butters etc. etc. Also all the oils used in this formula are mostly a 0 or at worst a 1 on the Comedogenic Scale so no chance of clogging pores.  Natural oils with all their skin benefits such as Argan, Hemp Seed oil. This Serum also contains a couple of the highest regarded oils in skin care right now, Plum Kernel Oil known for its anti - inflammatory, anti - aging properties along with a wide range of other skin benefits that you can look up.  Prickly Pear Oil which is a cactus oil and this variant is unrefined and comes from Morocco. It is a labor intensive oil so it's on the costly side but reeks with restorative benefits. It has the highest concentration of natural Vitamin E oil in it of any oil. It also offers maximum hydration and has excellent inflammation properties. This Serum also has Bakuchiol Oil with is a natural alternative to Retinol, this oil has been proven to stimulate Collagen production resulting in reducing fine lines so anti - aging without the side effects of Retinol. It also is anti - Bacterial, anti - inflammatory and a good antioxidant.  Two of the extract blends which I've listed broken down are also brand new to the cosmetic industry as a blend. My Chemist friend Joe said to me on the phone when we finished this formula " Frank if this product were in a skincare line like La Prairie or any other super high end skin care brand it would be over $300.00 for a 1 oz bottle! I"m like that's because people don't know they are sometimes paying for a name and expensive custom packaging plus all the marketing costs that drive these brands.

One last thing. As always my prices on this serum will vary depending on the Aroma Blend as all the other ingredients are the same. For example, if Rose Essential oil were chosen for the Aroma in this Serum it would certainly be more expensive than lets say Lavender Essential oil. An Unscented would be the least expensive option.

One of the reasons I wrote this is after 6 days without a shave I finally got one in using the new Sandalo Artistico F Base Shave Soap and I finished it using this Serum and my skin felt amazing and wow did it feel good to get rid of what was close to a damn beard it was so long! I mean I have often  gone 2 or even 3 days but not 6 and my beard was itching me like crazy. Maybe it's mental but it was driving me crazy. Don't know how guys with ZZ Top type beards deal with those.

Organic Argan Oil, Organic Hemp Seed Oil, Organic Plum Kernel Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, East Indian Sandalwood Essential Oil, Mysore Sandalwood Accord, Mysore Sandalwood Accord, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute Oil, Vintage 1960 Mysore Sandalwood Essential Oil, Benzoin Resin Oil, Orris Butter Resin 10%, Myrrh Essential Oil, Prickly Pear Oil, Organic Bakuchiol Oil, Lecithin Phospholipids, Hyaluronic Acid Liposome, Organic, Hyaluronic Acid Oil, Silk Proteins Liquid, Vitamin E Oil, Evening Primrose Root Extract, Abronia Villosa Leaf Extract, Agave Americana Stem Extract, Yucca Brevifolia Root Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Flower Extract, Fouquieria Splendens Stem Extract, Larrea Tridentata Extract.

Also for those that don't know that I have and will be adding a new oil to all my Shave Soaps and Creme formulas with the exception of the Vegan Shave Creme's as this is an animal oil. A very special animal oil. I've been doing my research on different oils and fats for well over a year now as I have some plans for some new products based on animal fats and oils. Anyway I decided to add this oil to this last batch of Santalo Artistico F Base Shave soap and replace the Apricot Kernel Oil with Ostrich Oil. Yes you read that right and I'm sure there will be the folks saying what's next Mongoose fat as I read recently on another forum. Well if I could answer that I'd say if something is better why not use it. It is in our nature to always move forward to make things better.  Oh and I'm also adding some Plum Kernel Oil into my formulas as it's somewhat affordable and yet has better skin benefits than Apricot Kernel oil which is a good one. I'd love to add Prickly Pear Oil but it's just too expensive to add to a Shave Soap and better used in a post shave product.

So what's so special about Ostrich Oil. Well for one it's full of Essential Fatty acids include Omega 3,6 and 9 as well as others. These support membranes keeping our skins from drying out. It is the only FDA Certified oil that is considered Transdermal which means it not only brings all it's benefits to the Epidermal layer of the skin but also the Dermis Layer as well. It has tons of skin nutrient benefits, is not considered oil or waxy or sticky and brings more hydration than any other natural oil there is and has 10 times more very important Omega -3 Fatty acids than the 2nd most beneficial skin oil. In high end Skin Care especially in Japan Ostrich Oil is the most revered natural oil. I found a good source here in the USA so it will become a part of many formulas moving forward. I know that many in this world are moving towards Vegan and I will be adding more Vegan products moving forward but to me there will always be a need for animal meat, fats and oils. I have not eaten any Ostrich meat but I have had an omelette made from an Ostrich egg and it was very good and Honestly with everything else in that omelette such as peppers, onions, potatoes, etc etc. I would know the difference from a chicken egg omelette. LOL  The source where I get my Ostrich Oil from did say I should try the meat and I'm sure I will at some point as it sounds very healthy and is low in fat.  Anyway back to the Ostrich Oil. It has so many benefits to it and here's a short list below just to get started.

1. Rich in Essential Fatty Acids
2. The highest level of Omega 3,6 and 9 Fatty Acids
3.  Can help heal wounds
4. Reduces itching & redness ( good on stretch marks ladies )
5. Is Hypoallergenic
6. Has higher skin penetration than any other oil
7. Has over 70% Oleic acid and Palmitic acid.
8. Ability to smooth and calm skin of redness, irritation and inflammation.
9. Is Anti - Aging
10. An Antioxidant
11. Improves Skin barrier function which seals in moisture and keeps out irritants
12. Helps reduce Acne and helps with other problematic skin issues such as Rosacea.

Who would have thought that the silly bird that sticks its head in the sand would be so good for us.  Big Grin

Here is a list of the ingredients in the Sandalo Artistico Shave Soap... and btw the oil based Hyaluronic Acid ingredient wasn't here on time for the making of this Shave soap but it will be included in the next batch of Shave Soap and Shave Creme's.

Ok a quick question and some feedback.

My EDP’s and some EDT’s are in the bottle below as you know and the sprayer is a screw on one.

So I have a line on this bottle and it’s the type of bottle that needs a crumpet to adhere the sprayer to the bottle but as many know that’s how 95% of Colognes, Perfumes and EDP’s attach their sprayers to their bottles. For one thing the sprayer quality is better than the screw on’s and the seal is leak proof.

So I like this bottle and I have been giving it some serious thought about changing in the near future.

What do you guys think?

Thank you.

Screw pump low profile bottles classically elegant, repairable if a pump issue and reusable after done.

Strongly suggest continuing their usage.

TBH Frank,  I really dislike this bottle shape ...

... even though I am a big fan of all your scents.  The shape takes up more shelf space, and I am always. concerned that the top might break if I travelled with it.  To me that is more important than the sprayer.

Thank you for your honest opinion. I guess for me it was all about the looks as it was different than most bottle which look like my Skin Food Splash bottles.

The reason I was looking at this new bottle is I've been a fan of Le Labo's packaging and a few others that are in the same bottle and I have a chance to get them with the ETHOS name printed on the bottle and in person it feels really nice in hand. I know some of the guys expressed their liking of the screw on sprayer and I can ask the company if they can do that as this is a custom bottle, not stock.

I was going to say your query photo looked like an empty Bergamot 22 bottle Frank. I love the screw pump as Dan and Bluegrass mentioned, REUSABLE!

I like HighSpeed don't like the shorty bottle. I think those Le Labo bottles travel well and are nice to use. Go for it.
