ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

Made a decision today. With the hot weather coming I’m going to squeeze in a batch of F Base Greenfresh Shave soap. I’m also thinking about a Peppermint as well as I personally love both on a 90 degree humid day.

I already offer a lot of products in the Greenfresh Aroma blend , which for me is very refreshing and mildly cooling

Peppermint is even more cooling naturally so I’m  thinking  I should add a Bath soap, and Shampoo/Body Wash also so the whole body can be cooled down

What do you think guys?

BTW I have a whole new type of product I’ll be releasing before summer that will take this concept to a whole other level and I’ll be announcing it in the next couple of weeks.

That’s a Japanese Peppermint and it’s my favorite. I’ll use the same so nothing changing there my friend.

UPDATES: 

1. I’m no longer shipping to Russia and this decision is not for the obvious reasons. This decision was made based on two separate large $300 + orders that were shipped and tracked to Moscow but supposedly never got to the customers. One even told me a lie saying that he went to the post office but what he didn’t know is I’m able to track a shipping address for location and he lived in Siberia near Mongolia, which is thousands of miles away from Moscow. Of course PayPal took the buyers word and issued them a refund. So I not only lost over $600 in funds but also lost all the products I shipped to them as they were never returned.  Of course both these buyers picked the shipping option that doesn’t have insurance or offer complete tracking information from ETHOS to the customers door. I’ll also be editing shipping options to certain zones. I have to protect myself from these types of situations. 

2. I’d like to bring up a subject that’s come up more than a few times in the last couple of weeks not only from potential customers, existing customers and my vendors as well. I’m getting the question “ is this soap scent or that existing shave soap coming out in the F Base?  So I want to address this now and hopefully some of my customers will have correct information and can help me to correct misinformation about my new S Base when they see posted statements about it on any form or on social media etc. 
So this  is my issue. Is the F Base a lot firmer than the original base I came out with when I first launched ETHOS Grooming Essential?  Absolutely yes. The issue I have is there’s a stereotypical concept that any other base does not have the same quality ingredients as the F Base which is not the case at all.  I also want to be very clear on this subject to. My new S Base is much firmer than the original base and a new formula. For scoopers it’s an easier soap to use than the F Base and just the opposite for jar lathering people as the F Base is a bit more user friendly in that area BUT, and it’s a big BUT,   it’s very easy and absolutely no problem at all loading from the jar with the new S Base! I’ve had much softer soaps in my 20 years of wet shaving. Ill note the new S Base also contains a load of skin beneficial ingredients and will evolve in that area just like all the other bases will do moving forward, as I will continue to do my research and sourcing an push the envelope on using the finest most skin beneficial ingredients to put in my products to improve them without loosing the DNA of the ETHOS brand. A note..  Many of you that own, have sampled or read about the Vanilla Safi. That was the prototype for what is now the new S Base shave soap only it’s now even firmer than that was. As of today both the Lavender Supreme and Succes are in the new S Base in both sizes. 

3.  Also moving forward I’ll be eliminating using any scent in the Vegan Shave Cream and will only offer it in Unscented as I believe that most people that go with the vegan shave cream have issues with aroma ingredients. If someone wants a scent in the base there are two options. Purchase an Aroma Blend which I offer a lot of different ones on my website which you can add to your lather. Heck I’ve suggested the same with the Unscented S Base Shave soap Clean. So all scented Shave Creams will be in the Tallow Shave Creme base. 
I’ll also be clear that the Tibu Saboni Shave Creme has its own unique base that was developed for people with skin issues and I will be releasing it again in the near future. 

4. Moving forward I’ll be adding more beard care and hair care products along with sone spa type products as my customer base includes spas, salons and barbershops. I’ve already mentioned that I’m updating all my skin care products in an earlier post so I won’t go into depth on that. Example the new Replenish 2% Hyaluronic acid serum formula will be released as soon as the new labels arrive. I’ll also be adding Skin Food splashes, Non Alcohol Skin Food lotions, EDT’s EDP’s that don’t necessarily always have a matching shave soap or cream.  
So bottom line is I’ll be adding a bunch of new products this year. The name ETHOS Grooming Essentials stands for offering you all of your grooming needs and it will take a while to cover them all but it’s my planned path forward. 

5. The Custom or Personal Blends Collection will be updated on the website in the next few weeks to make your requests and the whole ordering process easier for both you and me. 

6. A new category in the main menu is accessories. An I’ll be adding items to this section. Example I’ve got sone great new metal travel fragrance atomizers that are great when you want to take a favorite scent along with you when out for the night or when traveling. I’ve been asked about T Shirts or Baseball hats and Shaving towels etc. so maybe sone input on those suggestions from you would be much appreciated. I try listen to my customers, vendors and forum members on their wants, wishlists, feedback and suggestions. 

7. Lastly I’ll be adding and this will take me a few weeks as I’ll have to write the copy in my spare time. So I’m going to start an educational area on my website as I get a ton of questions that I’ve gathered and it would be so much easier to just point folks to the website for answers to many of the questions I get. 

It’s a quiet night here so I thought rather than watching a TV program or as I do many nights searching for new ingredients online I’d post up some updates. 

I’ll post up new releases as their close to launching in their own post. This one’s long enough!

Well today I finally finished up a Personal Blend project for my customer Matt. Nero and it was a fun project because he sent me two different Tree Saps that he got from trees on his land in Colorado. You’ve seen the beautiful photos he’s posted in the what soap did you use today. So we discussed making him a F Base Shave Soap and a Matching Skin Food Splash. Of course the tree sap has to be infused over a period of time. So today was the day to finally put the two products together as I also made the Tonka Bean in the F Base so I pulled some out before adding the Aroma Blend in. So all I can say is the old saying is true. “ Ain’t nothing like the real thing “ it smells amazing and better than any Pine Essential oil I’ve had my nose on. I can’t wait for Matt to try it. Oh and I had a little extra for myself so can’t wait to try it as well. Its curing now. 

This was the stickiest material I’ve ever worked with and the pan I used is pretty much a throw away as some of the resin isn’t coming off nor do I have the patience to take the time to try and get it off. Soap and water didn’t touch it nor did alcohol so I’m like see ya!  

Bottom line this was a very fun project and I also made him another Shave soap and Skin Food Splash using a Eucalyptus Absolute I acquired from one of suppliers and honestly this is now my favorite Eucalyptus oil of all the varieties I’ve tried. It’s very thick and syrupy and green so the Shave soap came out a really cool color and so did the Skin Food Splash. I would have included photos but like an idiot I walked out of the warehouse without taking a photo but I’ll be back in on Friday. 

Anyway here’s a couple of photos. One is of the Tree Sap the way I got it and a photo of the final products.

Yep it got dark somehow on its journey to me. Not sure why. Still smelled great! This was a fun project and please don’t worry about the pan. Looking forward to the next one as I really enjoy these custom projects and getting to know my customers even better. Some folks think this hobby is weird but I’ve met some of the best people I know because of ot it who I now call good friends. Can’t wait till things loosen up and I can attend some Shave Meets again.

Yes sir and my farthest vendor is The Shave Supply in CA and as soon as he gives me the word he’s got it I’m launching it. I know The Razor Supply will have his ready to go.
