Can't begin to tell you how happy I am to hear this one is almost ready!  It will very likely be the only soap I purchase for the next several months and, if my willpower holds out, for the remainder of this year.

There have been some great suggestions already.  I'll update my list if I can think of any others but here's my first vote:

1.  T.C. Santal - a tribute to the good man who not only suggested Dragonsbeard tackle this project but who also provided the samples.  Also, TommyCarioca has some gorgeous wood brush handles which fits well with the label art.

Since we are the topic of authenticity and Frank is nothing but honest and authentic I have a suggestion for his real sandlewood soap as only Dragonsbead would make:

Musk of Mirkwood

Contest over Frank ?

Santalum (genus of tree where sandalwood comes from... apt given high quality of ingredients Frank uses. Also pairs well with the cover art)

I'd go for Creme de Santal given its creamy aroma.

No name ideas but wondering if there’s a current timeline for tonka?

Thanks!

Well I’m making the Mandarino Fumo tomorrow, then it’s the King of the North on Wednesday and I’ll make the Tonka bean on Friday and Saturday. So then they have to cure. So not long. I’ll post updates up.

Thanks for asking!

Hi Frank. Do you have a release schedule for items that are planned to be released in the next two months? Will the next batch of Vetivert soap have an increase of EOs and if so, will the vetiver EOs be increased too?

Good morning sir!

I don’t have definite dates as Im still playing catch up from loosing 2 weeks of work due to some unexpected health issues that hit me back to back and one was a Bronchitis Covid combo that knocked me on my butt.

I can say the Tallow Blood Orange Shave Creme is ready just waiting on my vendors to release it. Also a collaboration Shave soap, Skin Food splash and Bath soap with The Razor Company is ready. Again just waiting on the Vendor.

I’m working on the next new F Base Soaps in this order.

Mandarino Fumo - Is already in process.
King Of The North is next.
Tonka Bean follows
The Tribute to the Vintage AOS ( no name yet ) is next.

All these I expect to have ready in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

After that my main focus is replenishing my inventory of the Following F Base soaps that are all sold out everywhere.

Succes
Lavender Supreme
Nuage de Citron
Fresco
Vetivert

Also the Tibu Shave Creme which has been in much demand. I’ve got a coupe of other Cremes I’ll release as spring approaches as both Creme bases are made and it’s easy to just add the Aroma blends to them.

An the answer to you question about the increasing the Vetiver in the Vetivert is yes I plan to. The reason it is a mild scent is because of the amount of Citrus Essential oils that are in the blend. It smelled fairly strong when it was being made but once it cured it lost a lot of its strength. I have gotten a couple of customers message me that they’d like it stronger and I’ve also had customers who like it because it is mild but from my viewpoint I’d like it stronger without loosing the overall scent and I agree with you. I believe increasing percentage of the Vetiver will do that. If you have the Skin Food splash which is definitely stronger as there’s no heat that the blend is exposed to like in the shave soap that is where I’d like to get the scent strength up to in the next batch. I even considered switching to the Tallow Shave Creme for the scent as then for sure it would be stronger. With the Cremes I can add the aroma at room temperature so noting is lost.

Hope that explains things.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Thanks for taking the time to respond, and sorry to hear about the earlier issues. I have not tried the shave creme yet and plan to pick it up when Tibu is released again, though I am not against a Vetivert creme Smile
