So what does Dragonsbeard smell like?

The Dragonsbeard aroma blend is composed of  Agarwood Oil, and Oud Resin. Essential Oils of East Indian Sandalwood, Amber, Tonka Bean Butter, Madagascar Vanilla Bean Infusion Oil, White Rose Absolute. 

Also the aroma is 100% natural with no synthetic aroma ingredients in it. In a simple way I would describe it as a warm masculine scent with a slight gourmand vibe to it. I can smell most of the individual notes in the blend but that probably because I make it and I’m adding the ingredients one at a time but I wouldn’t expect the average nose to get them all. 

Since it’s very first release I’ve heard many different descriptions of the aroma blend from people so maybe some members can come in hear and give you their thoughts on the scent.

Thanks for your concern my friend and it has been a crazy busy last couple of months both
business wise and on a personal level. I’m looking forward to things getting back to normal and my target is the 2nd week in December.

Very nice post shave feel I got after shaving in the morning

So I decided to use the Ethos Lavender Supreme firm shave soap today. A couple minutes before the shave, I dribbled a little bit of warm water on top of the puck. I guess you could call it blooming but again, very little water. I didn’t pour anything off and then went to loading with a 21mm HJM Muhle synthetic. Maybe loaded for 20 seconds until I got a bit of thicker protolather going. Then went to face lathering and had no issues with getting the hydration where I wanted it to be. Looking forward to seeing how this will work when I go at the puck with a badger brush sometime soon. Really nice protection and post shave feel. Chat with you all soon and cheers

Updates: 

I wanted to address something that’s come up a few times in the last week from not only some customers but also 2 of my vendors and I’m sure their getting asked the question as well. 

It’s about my Standard Base of as it’s marked on the side labels of any recently made soaps as simply F Base.  

I made some changes to the S Base soaps base so they are firmer than any of my standard base soaps of the past. Firm enough to load directly from the jar with no problem at all. You may ask is the S Base as firm as the new F Base or Firm base. The answer is no but it’s noticeably firmer than the old S Base soaps. 

At this moment their are only 2 that have the new S Base on my website and those are the Lavender Supreme and the Succes soaps in both sizes 4 oz and 7.5 oz.

 Oh there’s another shave soap in the new S Base I made for a collaboration with The Razor Company which will be an exclusive to them and on their website. The scent was picked out by the owner Jason and it’s been inspired by Creeds Spice & Woods. He’s doing a promo with 50 1 oz sizes and then after the holidays  he wants full 4 oz sizes made. This is not the typical type scent that I use as I lean much, much more to using natural aroma ingredients  but it’s what he wanted and he’s the customer and although I was not a fan of putting a scent like that out with the ETHOS name on it I guess I have to eat crow as I have to admit it smells pretty good. I believe he’s launching it early this coming week either on the 22nd or 23rd. So check it out as I think he’s putting a very good price on them. 

I’m also having a Black Friday through Cyber Monday sale on some items on the ETHOS website. So check that out to. 

On to the whole Dragonsbeard release. All the products are made and the 2 labels I was waiting for finally came in so with the Thanksgiving Day Holiday coming this week and Black Friday/ Cyber Monday I’ve decided to officially launch the whole Dragonsbeard line on the Tuesday after Cyber Monday. 

For the people that pre ordered the Dragonsbeard Shave Soap or Shave Creme either in the regular plastic jar or the optional Black Glass jar I will be posting  up how to proceed with your order which will be fulfilled first. 

I will be releasing between one to two new releases before the Christmas/ New Years Holidays and one I’m really very excited about which is the Mandarino Fumo. I’m a bit obsessed with the scent and I can say it’s my personal favorite at this moment. A powerhouse natural aroma blend an if your a Tobacco lover then I think you’ll be pleased with this first release in the new Humidor Collection. 

Oh and I have a new group of labels for the “ Personal Blends “ custom made products so you now have a choice between the white labels and the new ones seen below. You’ll also see the small 15 ml spray bottle and just so you know their are multiple sprayer finish tops. In the photo it’s matte gold but theirs brushed silver, matte black, copper and brushed blue. These small bottles are mostly for people that want to try EDT or EDP’s that use more exotic, rare and expensive aroma ingredients or blends that if used in the normal 2 oz sizes would be very expensive. A few examples would be if they wanted a 1936 Vintage Mysore Sandalwood, maybe a White or Red Champaca absolute. Rose Otto Absolute, Tuberose Absolute Seaweed Absolute, Agarwood/Oud, Frangipani EO  or any aroma blend that contains any of these ultra expensive aroma ingredients. Making one in this small 15 ml bottle at least doesn’t break the bank.
