ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

UPDATE: 

I mentioned yesterday that I wanted to announce some news on the upcoming release of Dragonsbeard V3.  So one of the things I’ve decided to do is offer it in both the F Base and also the new Non Tallow Shave Cream. Not only for those that might have issues with animal ingredients but the cream really lends itself to aromas as I’m able to add them at room temperature of about 70 degrees in every scent I’ve tried so far. The ability to be able to do this really showcases the scent and the scent can is stronger than in a shave if used at the same percentage. This can also be a bonus when doing custom work and especially when using expensive or very expensive aroma ingredients. I just did a 100% pure Vintage 1936  Mysore Sandalwood shaving cream for a customer that kept the price down compared to if I were to make the same scent strength in either of my other soap bases where I would have had to use quite a bit more of the Essential oil which of course would drive the price up quite a bit. 

So getting back to the Dragonsbeard release I’m going with more product in the jar so it works out to be a full oz more than the shave soap. 

I’m also making a batch of First Lather in the Aroma. A Bar soap and a Shampoo/body wash. I’ll also make the Aroma blend as an option in the Remede Serums as they seem to be going popularity with my customers. Of course the matching Skin Food splash and EDP spray will be available and I have a few sets of the Dragonsbeard shave brushes and stand that I put away for this release which can be purchased as a full set which would include Shave Soap or Cream and any of the other products I mentioned at a group price. Also as I’ve mentioned before you can request your shave soap to be put into a very special Black glass jar for an added $10 charge but I have to be notified by no later than Saturday morning.  With the Shave Cream since it’s so easy to work with you can message me if you want that option. 

All the special orders I’ll need you to contact me only by email. This way we can keep track easier rather than trying to remember a pm, dm or text. 

As alway this will be a limited to once a year release as it takes quite a bit of time for the scent to infuse.  I do keep a certain amount I put aside for Skin Food Splash and EDP so that they can pretty much be available all year. 

Well that’s about it. I’ll be making the Shave soap and the cream over the weekend and sone of the products all this coming week and as soon as my website developer can get them up they will be available for purchase and like I mentioned all special orders will be taken by email. 

I’ll be posting more updates on availability all next week an so on.

Hello Gentlemen on this list. I’m very sorry for the delay but the samples have not gone out yet for two reasons. 

1. I’ve been waiting on sample jars to come in and they took a heck of a lot longer than I ever expected. They are finally in. 

2. I was still playing with the formula and I’m pretty much settled on one.  So no need to test the two versions. 

Because I feel bad I’m going to send you all out samples and some of you I know very well as long term customers and I think you know who you are but a couple of names on the list I don’t recognize by screen names so if you wouldn’t mind please all of you send me your addresses again and I’ll get the samples out on Monday or as soon as I get the addresses of those I don’t already know.

That’s a good sized bowl of lather you got there Dave. You are probably alike in that I like a lot of lather to.  Nice Sunday morning shave my friend and some good photos to!

Dragonsbeard Frank, Sometimes more is just more but when it comes to lather.......More is Just Right

Just completed this set for a good customer of mine in Armenia who wanted a custom made Shave Creme EDP and Remede Serum. The serum  not shown  as I’m waiting on the new labels for the Personal Blends Serums yet. He wanted me to use nothing but the Vintage 1936 Mysore Sandalwood Essential oil I got not to long ago. I’ve been infusing the EDP for about 4 weeks now. I also added some 1960 Mysore Sandalwood Chips I also recently acquired and the scent strength has gotten stronger in that time period. You’ll notice this is one of my new 15 ml spray bottles which I got so people who wanted to either try a scent they wanted made in a 2 oz size or like in this case where we are using a very expensive essential oil and it would be a lot more expensive in a 2 oz size. There’s also 4 different sprayer finishes and label options. My customer wanted the Matte Gold and the white with the gold print which I think matches the scent perfectly. The label on the shave creme is one of 2 choices a customer has. The scent smells amazing if you are a Sandalwood fan like I am. The Shaving Creme is my new non - tallow version. It’s a true creme and not a croap or soft soap. What’s great about this Shave Creme as opposed to a Shave Soap is that  I can add the Sandalwood essential oil at room temperature into the creme so there’s no high temperatures that this precious oil is exposed to during the soap making process which would eat away at the scent so it would force me to add a higher percentage of the Mysore to a shave soap to get the same scent strength I’m getting in the  Shave Creme which would also drive the price up especially when using very expensive Essential oils like this one There is nothing like the real deal and no other Sandalwood oil I’ve come across smells like a real Vintage Mysore and let’s not even mention a synthetic Sandalwood fragrance oil. Unfortunately this is so hard to get nowadays and very expensive. Not like the 60’ and 70’s  when it was easy to get. A real shame. I can’t wait to shave with it today as I made a little extra for myself. Definitely one of the benefits lol 

 If you’d like something custom made for you just contact me and we will go from there. I’ll take any request and we will discuss if and when it can be done. In fact I just had a fun one for a Root Beer scented shave soap!   So just about anything is possible.

UPDATE: 

1. Worked all weekend and got 2 Vegan Shave Creams made. The Treatment Creme Tibu Saboni and the Melange Di Agrume and I was right about the Grapefruit Aroma blend it’s definitely stronger in the Creme base than in the Standard base. Just waiting on the labels for both. 

2. The “ Lost Souls F Base Shave Soap & Skin Food Splash is going live tomorrow on the ETHOS website.
