As promised if I didn’t hear back from the person on the list after 3 weeks of waiting I guess he’s not going to respond so I have one Vanilla Safi left in the custom shave bowl. I’m going to post it up on my website at 11am EST tomorrow ( Friday July 16th ) if you’ve wanted one. They have all gone extremely fast just to let you know. 

The other sizes are going fast just so you know. One of my vendors actually sold his first allotment in 10 minutes after posting them up. 

Thanks for all your support on this project. 

Also have noticed that as the soap ages the scent is getting stronger. Just an observation for those that got theirs.

So I gotta share this. Today I received a package from Italy with some new essential oils, CO2 extracts, absolutes  and some resins and all I can say it OMG!
I’m at a point where I’m getting absolutely spoiled by the quality. Some are so beyond anything I’ve gotten from any supplier in the US or Canada. I’m in my warehouse and it’s like Christmas and I’m a kid opening up gifts! These oils are true gifts of nature and as a gift to me the owner sent me a sample of a rare Vintage Indian Sandalwood essential oil. The Tree that this was distilled from is estimated at 85 yrs old and was purchased via the Forest Dept. As they only collect trees that have fallen on their own and these are carefully monitored by the Indian Government Officials from the Department of Forestry. The Santalols content on this stands at slightly over 90% so this is Holy Grail territory for those that base everything Sandalwood on its Santalols content.  So the short of it is this Indian Sandalwood is beyond amazing!  For true lovers of Sandalwood this will leave you drooling with its indulgent creamy woody tonalities. He’s having a drop of it at a scheduled time and I’m going to be all over this very rare oil when it drops.

UPDATE: 

I just put up 2 Custom Shaving Bowls with the Vanilla Safi on the Website.  We were able to squeak out 3 more so I filled them today and I may have one sold so I’ll hold back on listing all 3 for now but there’s 2 currently up on the site. 

For those that don’t know this is the premium M base which has some different butters, oils and Fats than the past regular M Base and it also has a higher percentage of the EOS Complex. Obviously the Vanilla infusion and Vanilla Absolute. It is also firmer but because of the cost I’d probably recommend scooping it out of the bowl.

So we have a winner of the contest and it's frenchy with his pick for the name of the product which is:  


Vétivert 

I like the simplicity of the name, my graphic designer likes the way it looks and I like the meaning. It came down to two choices so it was close and after much thought and counseling from my graphic designer, my son and a couple of my close shaving friends who BTW were not in this contest Vétivert won out in the end. 

So when the product is released I will send all the products to him that are in the contest winners package. 

Congrats frenchy on picking the winning name and a big thanks to all that participated in this " Name the product " contest. I'm sure it won't be the last as sometimes names come to me very easily and sometimes I draw a blank and I need help. LOL 

Oh and just for future reference, there were also some good names that some members picked but they only put in one name and I can't help but wonder what some of their other picks might have been like since they could have picked more names and increased their odds of winning the contest. Just my 2 cents on the subject.

Look what we made today.. this week the shampoo body wash and then the matching bar soaps.  

This will be going in the upcoming Island Collection.

Pick one?
If it’s both, why can’t we have shampoo/aftershave or shave soap/foot scrub?
We have Green Fresh soap to wash our body, right?  (Well, eventually…)
