ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

Thought I’d touch base with everyone. So as you know I’ve been with my family pretty much all day, every day since the tragic passing of my sons mom. So the funeral is tomorrow and the church and burial is on Friday. I’m sure the two days are going to be very difficult on everyone especially my son. So I’m going to spend the weekend with the family. My son has to be back at work in NYC on Monday and so will I.

On the business side my first task is to get all the Vanilla Safi Shave soaps ready to be shipped out to the people on the waiting list. An if any of you that are on the list read this please reach out to me via email on Monday or anytime afterwards.

I have a lot of catching up to do but I’m looking forward to getting back to work. I have some new products and aromas to get out and I have a couple of new ideas to share that I’d like to get your thoughts on.

I went in to today to start getting things ready for tomorrow as it will be my first day back to work and I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. 

Well I could not resist to open one of the custom Vanilla Safi Jars that have been sitting for a few weeks and all I can say is wow! The smell of my blend of 100 % pure Madagascar Vanilla bean infusion I made way back. ( like 10 months ago ) and the Vanilla Absolute just came up and hit me hard and now the area of the warehouse I’m in smells awesome. The 6 weeks this has been curing sure kicked up the scent a lot. This was a labor of love for sure and I’m not sure I can do this again but I’ve learned never to say never. I gotta say I’m a little bit proud of this one since as far as I know and 5 of my soap maker friends there has never been one made before. This is also dedicated to an old Lakota friend of mine who asked me many years ago “ Frank if you ever decide to make shaving soaps please make a pure natural vanilla shave soap. Back then I said sure no problem! Yeah little did I know what I was getting myself into. Lol 
This was by far the most time and labor intense project I’ve done with ETHOS. I left my custom shave bowl at home as I took some photos back a while and forgot to bring it in but I can’t wait to shave with this so I made myself a little sample about the size of an almond to use for tomorrow’s shave.  If I sound excited we’ll I guess you can say I am and it put a big smile on my face which was much needed. 

  I thought I’d take a quick photo of one before I leave here today and post it up. I’m still waiting on the bottom labels as I thought they were ordered but we had a miscommunication and Monica ordered the old design side labels which won’t work. 
Also got another surprise Tim made more bowls so I have a few more available if anyone wants one and I’m going to get these up on the website as soon as possible. 

Anyway for those that are on the waiting list  Thank you for your patience and you can get in touch with me if you want or I have your info and I’ll reach out to you as soon as the labels come in. 

Oh and that little dot you see in the soap is just a shadow of a swirl in the jar in case you noticed it like I just did so hence the edit.

Forgot to add there’s the 4 oz size and I’m going to have  some of the 1 oz Travel size available.
They will also be on the website.

UPDATE:

Ok a couple of quick updates.

1. So as you know there is no Vanilla Safi Skin Food Splash to go along with the shave soap as I don’t think it lends itself to the formula because of the alcohol. So I had a request from a customer who’s already ordered  the Vanilla Safi in Custom Shave bowl and he asked me over a phone conversation if I could make him a Remede serum with the aroma blend in it and I hesitated for moment as I pondered over it and I thought why not. It’s the perfect environment for the Vanilla blend. So he uses the Remede in the oily skin formula, so I just finished making his and it smells so freakin good I now have to make one for myself. I had to reach out to him in my excitement and I was lucky enough to get through and tell him the good news. Now he’s excited to get it. So just letting those that are getting the Vanilla Safi in any size that we now have an option for a post shave product using the blend that doesn’t digress the scent as the alcohol would.



2.  Today we bottled up a bunch of the Restore - Clarifying Brush Cleaner & Odor Eliminator along with the Restore Brush Conditioning Treatment. 
Labels on their way and we should have them both on the website and off to my vendors next week.
