ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

Hello everyone and I hope that you all had a great weekend and for those that celebrate Easter Sunday I hope you had a special one with family and friends. 

Well it’s Monday and time to get back to work. 

As some know I’m coming out with the Afrika Collection and with it the first product in the collection which is Vanilla Safi Shave soap. The Aroma in it comes from two sources. My Madagascar Vanilla Bean oil infusion which took about 9 months to complete and Pure Vanilla Absolute and not the CO 2 extract oil. As some know Vanilla Absolute is very expensive and I put a link to one of the suppliers in the US that carry it, and there ain’t many that do just so you can see the going price in the US.

As I’ve been told by a couple of my soap making friends this is the first ever pure Vanilla shave soap and it may be the last as I don’t know how many times I can go through the infusion process but hey ya never know. Anyway I have to say I’m a little proud as a couple of the soap maker friends of mine said don’t even try it’s pretty much impossible for a number of reasons which I won’t go into as it’s a bit of a story. 

So all the people that are on the list know that it comes in 2 different containers. One is the custom shaving bowl which is seen below and contains 5 oz of the soap an also the 4 oz jar I normally use which is also seen below. The Custom Shaving bowl comes in 2 different color woods and the dark wood tops are all accounted for but one where the person on the waiting list is going back and forth on the dark wood or the lighter African Mahogany wood. There are a total of 15 custom Shaving bowls and 13 of them are accounted for. We can however if you miss out on them order one if you’d like one and the waiting time is about 10 days to 2 weeks. All the rest of the Shave soaps will be in the 4oz size jar an as of now 4 of them are also accounted for. If you’d like either of them you can contact me via my email address ethosgroomingessentials@gmail.com and I’ll put one aside for you. 

I’d like to thank everyone on the waiting list as this has been the most difficult soap to make soap so far.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the etymology of your naming on this soap. Where does "safi" come from in this context? I see a city in Morocco, is that it?

It means Pure Vanilla in Swahili .

Thanks for the insight! How did you manage to not make the soap dark brown color like everything else with vanillin?

I see now that the pictures of the very nice looking bowls do not have soap in them, my eyes deceived me!

in the next week or so I’ll be releasing 2 new EDP’s into their respective Collections. 

1. The DFS/ETHOS Colonia EDP in the Calibration Collection. 

2. The Greenfresh EDP in the Chill Collection.

I honestly never thought about offering it in the 1oz travel size and because of the limited amount of the soap I can make because of the pure Vanilla infusion but what I can do is make a few and put them on a first cone basis. I’ll have work out the price point.  Once again thank you for the input and good idea.

I thought of it more as an affordable way for folks to be able to at least sample this unique offering..

A good point well taken and thanks again. I’d like folks to be able to try the Vanilla Safi as who knows if I’ll ever make it again as that process of infusion that took 9 months to complete. I mean when I started it I had only been in business with ETHOS about 3 months at the most. Things have changed a lot since then. Also this was something I had to prove to myself I could do!

I know, I sound like a broken record but, there is just an uplifting and refreshing vibe with this scent that it just fits me too a tee. It’s an excellent mood changer & pick me up after a hard day of working to pay the bills. I would also like to take a quick moment to point out the bottle in the background, that’s the Ethos Custom Collection Replenish serum with 2% hyaluronic acid. Gents, if your going to get into the game of buying a quality product(s) for your shave game with undoubtedly the best soap & splash combo in the business, do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks on this particular product. The soap is a given as is the splash but, to complete the trifecta get in on this stuff. I shit you not Gents, you will not be disappointed by this product. This is a post shave game changer with repeated use. I can’t reiterate enough how good this stuff is. I know that I shouldn’t mention it here in the soap thread but, I feel as though if you’re getting the Ethos Grooming products, throw this into your cart that’s how much I believe in this product. Okay, that’s the last plug for Frankie and his serum product. For today.....

@Glazedbooker Gus my brother I’m glad your liking the Greenfresh scent.  What I forgot is you got the Replenish with the scent in it. Personally my favorite aroma so far in that product. Oh and probably because of you I just had to make a triple sized batch as I was down to 3 jars of the soap! Lol  No seriously it’s been on a run lately and I think with the hot weather coming it’s only going to ramp up even more.  BTW your EDP should be ready by early to mid week. Product made and bottled. Just need the labels. 

An thanks to you I think I have to switch soaps for tomorrow’s shave as I was going to use the Succes but now that’s changed! Lol
