Very nice photos, and me too.  Frank got it out the door and to the post office with blitzkrieg speed, but for whatever reason, the post office is still in log jam mode around my way.

The DFS/Ethos Colonia soap & splash are a home run in my opinion. Removing the lid and bringing the jar to ones nose you’re hit with a robust and natural smelling Neroli that intermingles with a nice citrus and smooth woods like accord. Reminds me a bit of if one were to smell both ADP Colonia & Intensa at the same time with the burst of TF Neroli Portofino on the top. Not exactly but, within that realm. Not as juicy as TFNP nor tart and punchy as Intensa but, it does have that nice clean citrus smoothness of Colonia. It has facets of the 3 mentioned (to my nose at least) yet still holds a different vibe where it does not have a pronounced flowery aspect of neither of them. Neroli, citrus (Bergamot,Lime) and woods with almost a very subtle leafy green aspect. The key to me though is that it smells natural & deep both the soap and especially the skin food splash. It’s a gorgeous scent that is well rounded and composed very well. Frankie Dragonsbeard knows his scents and he nailed the traditional Italian spring, summer masculine clean scent. The only negative to this creation is not having either a Cologne, EDT or EDP to seal the deal. This set needs one, it’s that good.

Performance is as expected, elite plain and simple. Period......

Thank you GlazedBoker  Gus for the kind and encouraging words my friend. I’m glad you like the scent. Great photo btw!

You’ll be glad to know the EDT or EDP will be out very soon.  I’m going to shoot for an EDP but you know how citrus notes are. Their top notes and difficult but I’ve got some heart notes and base notes in their so I might be able to pull it off and worse case scenario I end up with a EDT. Look at ADP most all of their scents are EDT’s

Oh and an EDT in the Greenfresh is also on its way! I know you pushed me on that one my friend so it’s in the labs with me over the weekend.

Great shaves!

I’m not a big fan of Lavender scented soaps. I have even told Frankie Dragonsbeard during some of our phone conversations that it is not my favorite scent for a soap or even in a fragrance/perfume. But, he convinced me to give it a shot and to just be straight up honest on what I thought of his rendition or take on a Lavender scented soap. This evening I gave his Lavender Supreme a go and truthfully, I was pleasantly surprised with this interpretation. Again, performance is a given which is simply fantastic. From start to finish the soap gives one everything a mans face could ever need for a shave. Protective, slickness, glide and uber comfort. Post is without reproach a is the rest of the line up. The scent now was a bit of a curveball for me. Yes, it is Lavender dominant but, there is something else in here that really sets it apart from other Lavender scented soaps. Almost smells like it’s citrus and woods infused ever so slightly with a light, almost eucalyptus like note that gives it a unique aroma. Not flowery Lavender but, just something else that makes it very distinct and yet masculine. During the lather building process and application it gives a very relaxing, soothing and calming aroma that is very pleasing and dare I say, slightly addictive as you catch full yet delicate whiffs of this as you apply it. You just have to sample it for yourself to really get a good idea on what the scent delivers.

In the end, it’s just another winner in the line up and a Lavender scented soap that I can really get accustomed too. Frank, you’ve converted me....

GlazedBoker Gus

I’m glad you liked the Lavender Supreme. I think that because this Lavender comes right from a grower in France I got introduced to by a friend of mine. I’ve used all kinds of Lavender essential oils from a lot of the suppliers but this is special and I have a extra special batch she sent me that I only use in the Skin food splash and I may even shoot for making a EDT in it by request in the customs Collections.  So there’s nothing else in their aroma wise but the Lavender EO.

I enjoy a night shave with it as it’s very calming and lord knows I need that sometimes as I know you do to my friend!

Thanks for sharing your SOTD bro!

UPDATE:

Just letting you know part of the Custom Collection is up on the ETHOS website. All the serums and the First Lather are up. All are unscented but there’s a drop down menu to choose a Level 1 custom scent.  Once we get the rest of the products up in the Collection then we will be adding the Level 2 custom options also in a drop down menu.

Another step forward in making it easier for my customers to order.

Thank you all for your patience and support! It’s appreciated more than you know.

Great shaves!

Glad to see these at TopoftheChain! Wanted to try the splashes, specifically the sandalwood.

The Mysore Santal Skin Food Splash and the EDT spray is my personal favorite.  I hope you enjoy it.
