cool looking photo. how do you like the scent?
I like the scent no end. It's soft and clean: to me, at least, I find it somewhat lemon forward. The bergamot and other herbs are behind the lemon on top. Harder for me to compare to AdP Colonia, of which I've only smelled the EDP. But, as best I can recall, I found the AdP to be more "perfume-like," almost cloyingly so. Didn't like it; certainly didn't buy it. I also think that I recall there might be more of a spiciness in the AdP that I don't find in Frank's splash - perhaps more lavender? In any event, Frank's splash is certainly lighter, and it's cleaner, slightly powdery (I think that's the right word), with a touch of the herbs and slight woodiness behind the citrus. It's a really easy scent for me, although perhaps more a summer scent than winter one, although I'll use it from now on. As a scent, qua scent, I'm not sure that I like it as quite as much as, say, Arlington -- which, of course, is a classic -- but, then, as good as the DR Harris soap is (and as I keep otherwise posting, it's pretty darned good), it's not quite as good as Ethos. The two - the Ethos and DRH - are, to me, very close smelling in scent; but I think there is more of the "fern" in DRH and more lemon with the Ethos. Of course, the Ethos soap with the splash has a wonderful post-shave feel that just lasts. My face still feels moisturized and great hours later. One edit: I should make it plainer -- to me, this is a keeper. It's a winner. I'm about to BST a bunch of soaps; this one is not going in that pile!
