So pulling my Micromatic out and dusting it off. This was a gift that I'm ashamed to admit I forget where it came from but I think is may have been John DeepSea My file system works fine but the retrieval system has been getting rusty. Anywho I was pulling it out to join at least Danny and Myles today. I had an amazing shave with it that had me chasing the baby hard and it was caught. The Humphrey's Maravilla 70 let me know for sure I over reached in a few spots but no blood was spilled and I'm eel like slippery smooth for my efforts. This scent is one of if not my GOAT. I don't have the EDP but it pairs VERY well with the Prada Luna Rossa Black. I hit the EDP HARD and I am definitely "That Guy" today. Hey, everyone I come into contact with today......as DangerousDon would say, "YOU'RE WELCOME" !!!!  Have a stupid Fun Day Everyone !!![/size]

UPDATE: 

Just wanted to let you know that I’ll be releasing the DFS/ETHOS collaboration this Friday on my website. I will have the 7.5 oz , 4 oz and 1 oz travel size on my website plus the Skin Food splash. 

Of course my 3 vendors, The Razor Company, The Handlebar Supply Co. and The Top of the Chain will also have the 4 oz size ( not the 7.5 oz or 1 oz travel size those are exclusive to my website. They will also have the Skin Food splash on their websites as well. 

The scent is my take on a Italian Colonia scent. 

I’d like to thank andrewjs18 and all the DFS members for your patience as this took a little longer than I thought it would because of complications both personal and business wise.

DFS/ETHOS Collaboration 

Is Officially Open 

All ETHOS Grooming  Essentials orders are being shipped today and this includes all the orders that were pre ordered that included the DFS Collaboration products. 

So yesterday ( Sunday ) I went into the labs to make a couple of things I was low on and after those were done I turned my attention to another project I’ve been working on and that’s a non alcohol post shave product. I’ve been thinking to myself lately ok I could make a simple non alcohol splash or a post shave balm but I wasn’t motivated or excited about making either so I’ve been thinking a little outside the box in my head and yesterday I came up with a formula I’m calling a “ Hybrid “ for now. In simple terms it’s like taking my Replenish 2% Hyaluronic acid serum, adding a significantly higher than normal amount of the EOS Complex, some Witch Hazel and a lotion base I made earlier with some skin benefiting ingredients in it when I was experimenting with just a post shave lotion and blended them all together and I might be on to something special that I’m finally happy with.  So that’s why I’m calling it a Hybrid. I had shaved yesterday morning before going in and purposely didn’t use a post shave product. Just a cold water rinse and on my way.  

So I made a decent amount of it for a bench sample and I’ve decided to look for 5 people to test this formula out on. I’ll need 5 people with 5 specific skin types that stand out to them as definitely being a good example of the 5 categories of skin types recognized by the skin care industry and those are: 

Normal Skin 
Dry Skin 
Sensitive Skin 
Oily Skin 
Problematic Skin 

I have one person in mind that I know has super sensitive skin so I’ll confirm with him if he’s in as a tester so that leaves 4 people I’d need as testers. If you are interested please let me know and like I mentioned I would like to have people that have definitely noticed they fit one of those 4 other skin type categories. 

The reason I’d like to do some broad spectrum testing is I’d like this formula to work for any skin type as the ingredients I put in should actively and efficiently hydrate all skin types without leaving a sticky, oily or waxy coating on the skin. After making the Unscented Hybrid I poured about a half a dime sized in my hands, rubbed them together and applied to my skin where I shaved. Unlike a typical alcohol splash it took a bit longer to dry but once it did my skin felt well hydrated, subtle and very soft without any significant amount of residue. It’s been about 14 hrs and my skin has not gotten noticeably oily and other than some stubble growing in feels great. I normally trust my initial feelings on a formula and this one so far meets my criteria and standards but I wasn’t other options from those that are strong examples of the different skin types. 


If I have enough I may put a little of the Greenfresh aroma blend in some of the batch to see how it works with a scent in it and that one to me is refreshing with a little chill to it. 

So anyone up for testing this post shave Hybrid out?
