Here you go Mark. What do you think of the inside?[Image: EKN5BIM.jpg][Image: LdPpgYp.jpg]

if this is a bowl for storing and collecting soap-why notches? If this is a bowl for whipping foam-why store soap in it? A little misunderstood the purpose of this bowl?

I saw it as a gorgeous high end presentation bowl that can have and serve a purpose after it is emptied, as a lather bowl. Not sure if that was the intent but what I saw it to be.

I too see it as a beautiful presentation bowl that can further be used as a lathering bowl when the soap is used up.

Thanks for your thoughts but it’s pretty simple if you look at this way.
t’s a limited edition shave soap that comes in a custom made shaving bowl that once the soap is all used up can be used with any shave soap. as a lathering bowl .
I think it’s makes more sense than a shave soap that comes in a fancy non reusable wooden, ceramic bowl or overly decorated glass jar that serves no purpose once the soap is all used up that you either throw away or use for things like loose change, paper clips or whatever a person uses them for. I’ve had my fair share of those and although I like and enjoy the presentation the entire time I’m using the bowl or jar while using the shave soap once it’s gone. It just adds to my shaving clutter.  This shaving bowl can be used and enjoyed for along time after the soap is used up.

My perspective is it a great idea to create a collectable distinctive bowl for presentation purposes during the soap’s usage that can thereafter serve as an elegant and useful mixing bowl.

I currently use a Swarovski crystal bowl and tumbler for lathering and brush soaking. The bowl has a perfectly smooth inner surface which forces mistake free lathering technique or failure. The ETHOS bowl may well end up replacing it if can secure one as it just as elegant yet much more practical for the intended usage.

While lacking pedigree and birthright, nonetheless appreciate and own items that are beautiful and functional. My shaving kit includes vintage Wolfman DE, the best H&S DE, real Damascus straights, a variety of the best artisan brushes, tip of the spear soaps (almost exclusively ETHOS) and a plethora of the world’s most desirable frags.  This philosophy extends to every element of life and would much rather do without than settle for compromise.

For those demanding beautiful products that are also useful, this is a must have.
