Sorry to hear that. You must have some kind of allergy to Coconut oil. Which proves what I’ve said all along. Anyone person can be allergic to any ingredient. Natural or synthetic. Out of the 460 sets I’ve shipped out this is the only situation where this has happened and as you said in a previous post it also makes your skin tight at the end of the shave which is also a first. So I guess my percentages are good so far. Lol
I’ve tried to create a base that has a nice balance of cushion, slickness and post shave without leaving an oily coating on the skin as I’ve never liked soaps that do and most of my customers seem to like the clean yet hydrated post shave feeling they gat as that is one of the most common feedback statements I get about the soap.

You May want to try my Dragonsbeard shave soap that should be ready in a month or so depending on the curing as that does not contain coconut oil in it.

Again sorry it didn’t work out for you but there’s a lot of great soaps out there!

Great shaves!

ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Simpson Emperor 3~~Pre-War US Gillette Tech/Sharp Star
[Image: aBUDAlQ.jpg]
Second shave with the ETHOS and I was much more successful creating my lather. Much denser (should not be misinterpreted as "dry" or "under hydrated") and exquisitely shiny. The slickness was even better today. I eschewed the baby spoon and loaded directly on the soap with a soaked, but very well wrung out brush. Picked up plenty of lather. The soap is not so soft that this technique would be unadvisable. I removed the residual soap from the top and added it to my bowl. What I have found over the years is that one should "clear the breach" of the brush two or three times during the lather-making process. I did that adding H2O very slowly and actually ended up using less than I am accustomed to.
The results were outstanding.
I can't say enough about the lavender scent. I really only have two "flowery" scents in my soaps, lavender and rose. They are my favorite.
This lavender is lovely.

Thank you once again for the great photo and I’m glad your enjoying the Lavender Supreme aroma. I’m also very particular about Lavender and it took a while but I finally found a grower in France who I order direct from and it had everything I was looking for in a Lavender essential oil I wanted. The bonus is they are very nice people to deal with also.

Great shaves!

I also get the skin “tightness” after both the soap and Skin Food usage...but...don’t get an allergic reaction. The “tightness” abates within a few minutes after usage and settles down to a fantastic post shave feel. I’d describe the “tightness. as more or less the same feel one has after applying an astringent.

Dragonsbeard I didn't like the scent of the Lav Supreme out of the jar but I really like it whipped up. I'm familiar with lots of different lavenders. I am just curious what the smell can be described as when you're smelling your bottle of lavender from Provence? Thanks, and I will be contacting you soon to see if I can buy a preshave and a splash. I'll have another go with the lavender shave soap again tomorrow.

When smelling the Lavender out of the bottle you can smell the Lavender Flower and it’s smoother than any US supplier Lavender I’ve smelled. An in fact I just got a special batch from her this week and she said it’s the best she’s had in 3 years. Unfortunately she was only able to ship me 4 oz of that batch so I’m reserving it for only the Lavender Skin Food I’m going to make from it as 4 ozs will last a while in making those but wouldn’t get me much Shave soap.
The Lavender I normally get from her is less Camphorus than most Lavender EO’s I’ve Smelled and again smoother and I can smell the flowers. This newest batch is pretty much the same but is the smoothest I’ve ever smelled!
In fact I’m making a batch on Monday as I’m down to only 3 bottles with the regular Lavender I use. Been a big run on Lavender Supreme in the last 2 weeks so I have to stop and make another batch of the Shave soap which was not in the schedule. So with only 16 jars left I may be out of stock for a few weeks if they keep going as fast as they have been lately.

I do also have the Remede Revitalizing Serum as a custom scent option available in the Lavender.

Great shaves my friend!

Yup, this is EXACTLY the feeling I got when using the soaps (or any soap with coconut oil). I wouldn't call it an allergy, more of a "sensitivity". I will say that the lather I got from Ethos was amazing.

To be honest...I’ve used many soaps with Coconut Oil and never got this reaction...So..who knows?

Ok I think there’s been enough explaining as to why it’s taking so long to get the website up. You just ordered via email and I thank you for that.  BTW the website is actually live now but there’s work that has to be done so we are looking at possibly Wednesday or Friday as far having it functioning where people can place their orders on the site.  Believe me ordering by email is not something I want to continue as it takes me 2 to 3 times longer than it normally would.
