I'd like to thank everyone for the support and for the detailed reviews and feedback. I'll have some new offernings coming out in the near future. Hard to operate as normal with everything going on with this monster that is attacking our country but I'm doing what I can as most of you are to try and keep our lives as close to normal as possible.

I can be reached at ethosgroomingessentials@gmail.com

Thank you all and stay safe!

UPDATE:

Im so sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to everyone. I just posted on Instagram and TSC and should post up that all orders will be shipped out on Monday. The brief explanation is I got so many orders in a mater of 3 days from the 2 forums and Instagram that not only did I have to deal with the hand sanitizer run on Wednesday and yesterday but also I had to go in and fill and label more Skin Food splashes and EDP’s and some unlabeled Shave soap pucks so I’m at the warehouse as I’m writing this and I realized that there’s no way I can get all this done and then pack everything up, create the shipping labels and get them to the post office by tomorrow at noon which is when they close so I was going to post up that all orders will ship out on Monday morning on here as well to keep everyone updated. I’ll go in tomorrow and finish getting all orders completed and bring them to the post office first thing Monday morning. I had no idea I’d get anywhere near the amount of orders that I got in the last 3 days and some came from some Military guys and about 5 from overseas and those shipments take longer to fill out the forms etc etc.  That is why it’s taken me longer in a nutshell. I have nobody helping me here so doing the best I can do but trying to be realistic and let you all know rather than make you wonder when your orders wil go out. Hope you understand. I will send you a photo of your parcels shipping label with the tracking info on it as soon as it ships out.
You can always reach me at my email address
Ethosgroomingessentials@gmail if you have any questions. .

Also for anyone that asked me About shipping the Skin Food Splash or EDP overseas I cannot do that as I could stand to get my business shut down by customs if I ship a flammable material and I just can’t take that chance. I can however ship the Shave soaps and fairly soon I’ll have 2 new Post Shave Products that do not contain Alcohol so those can be both shipped anywhere.

Stay safe and thank you for your patience and hopefully understanding the situation

Tonight I did a dual shave off.  In this thread I will discuss Ethos Lavender soap and Skin food VS. Sebum Purple soap and serum
Razors
Carbon Cx Ti and Paradigm Diamondback
Pre shave Shower
Blade Gillette Platinum 1st use
Brushes Wolf Whisker Synthetic
Bowl Captains Choice Copper
Soap Ethos Lavender vs Sebum Purple
Post shave Thayers Lavender followed by either Ethos Lavender Skin food or Sebum Purple serum
I put an equal amount of soap in the bowl approximately an almond size and started with a squeezed out synthetic WW that had been soaking for about 1 min.
I began lathering the Ethos first and added water as needed then followed with the Sebum and again added water as needed.
I did a 2 pass shave using each soap with both razors.
My findings

Cost:
Sebum Purple soap and AS $190 plus $15 shipping
Ethos Lavender soap and AS $60 plus $5 shipping
Packaging:
Sebum Glass jars with Cork tops
Ethos Plastic Jars with aluminum tops
Ease of lather:
Both soaps were thirsty but the Ethos was easier to whip up a smooth glossy lather
Protection:
Both soaps have excellent protection
Glide:
The slickness and glide was equal between both
Residual slickness:
The Ethos has slightly better residual slickness but both were excellent
Post shave feel:
Both left my skin feeling soft and subtle but the Sebum left my face slightly oily feeling

AS Both products spread easily and left my skin feeling nourished but the Sebum had an oily feel even 10 minutes post application

Scent

The Ethos is a pure Lavender scent that was pleasing and relaxing.
Sebum Purple had a stronger minty scent with just a touch of lavender

Both of these products give a high class shave and offer excellent skin benefits. The Sebum has some classy high end packaging but no one sees it but me.
Ethos is 1/3 the cost and gives me a great shave and post shave skin care without the oily feel, and it offers me a pure Lavender scent that I love. The winner for me is easily Ethos both in performance and cost. It gives me a high end shave experience at 1/3 the cost.

Sebum is serum, I mean mix of oils, nothing more.
Actually that is why your face feels oily, after use.
I have one, but I found it too expensive, we are mostly paying for packing.
I don't expect ingredients worth more than $20. Anyway it is working great as aftershave. I like it a lot.

I ordered one set of Ethos, really looking forward to try it.
He has great price for 7oz soap + aftershave skin food splash.

Thank you Mark for the detailed review. This is the first Shave soap Shave Off I’ve ever seen posted. I’ve done side by sides when testing the performance of my soaps vs some of my favorite soaps from other soap makers but have never posted them. I’ve never used Sebum products so nothing I can comment on but I will say I’m working on 2 new post shave products and one of the 2 is a serum using very small molecular weight oils and I’m using a couple of ingredients that should help reduce a oily feel on the face so I’ll send you a sample when the tester batch is complete as I’d like your feedback.

Glad you like the Lavender.
