ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

The Violeta arrived today, and it really smells great! I think this could be the most uplifting scent in my collection. So fresh and beautiful! Looking forward to smacking it around!!

Im so glad you like it. You know when we started talking about a pure Violet scent I was worried it wasn’t going to go over as I didn’t think to many people know what real Violet smells like as it’s often portrayed as some very floral sweet powdery feminine scent that you’d get at Bath & Body Works and as we know it smells nothing like that.  I like your description as uplifting as I felt that when I used it.

Frank, I wasn't sure what to expect as I don't have any real baseline for Violet scents. I have now had several shaves completed with Violeta, and I find you earlier scent note descriptions to be spot on. But putting aside the more specific details there is something about Violeta that is unique among all of my various soaps. A fresh and authentic scent that compels me to come back to the jar for an additional session. Hope you are well and looking forward to the additional releases!

PS. Is it officially Violeta or Violetta? I just happen to notice both variations appear on the jar (top vs side labels)

I’m glad you are enjoying the Aroma blend. An the side label had a typo and both myself and my graphic designer both did not see the mistake when we proofed the label. Violeta is the correct name and how it’s spelled.  Things like that drive me crazy as we try very hard not to make mistakes like that.

UPDATE: 

After getting some messages from customers/members on here i thought id share what products are coming out in the next 10 days to 3 weeks. Of course most of these come with at least a Skin Food Splash but some have other post shave products like Non Alcohol Skin Food Lotion, Revitalizing Serum, EDT or EDP, Shampoo/ Body Wash, Roll - Shave Soap etc. etc. 

1. Both of these F Base Soaps are next up as they were just made. 







2. This will be made this weekend and will include a Matching Skin Food Splash. 








4. The Derma Boost 

is about 2 weeks away and I’m very excited about this skin care product. It is the first product in our new “ Skin Care Collection “ Think of this as Superfood for your skin and also as an additive to increase the skin benefits of your Shave Soaps &  Cremes but more so to add to your post shave products. This is highly concentrated, and comes with a dropper. I’m releasing this in a 30 ml bottle for now as I’d like people to use it properly. The reason I say this is yes it can be used straight on the skin. It’s benefits to the skin are many but for now I’m focused on getting folks to use it as an additive. I will be coming out with a larger size in the future. 





5. The next two are ones that’s are very special and personal to me for different reasons. One is in memory and a tribute to my good friend Mark aka ShaveMD who sadly passed away and he was a good ambassador and contributor to the wet shaving community.  He is very much missed!  He called this Aroma Blend Ginger ale and for those that got it the first time it was made most agree with that summary of the scent. 




This one is a personal thing to me as I’ve always been fascinated this animal and I’ve been donating every year for a long time to help save this magnificent animal. The Tiger has been my favorite since I was a little kid. My aunt lived right next to not only our local zoo but right next door to the woman that was the head of the zoo and many times she’d bring home baby animals like Lions, Bears, Leopards and my favorite the baby Tigers and I got a chance to play with them and it was instant love.  So this release will be exclusive to the ETHOS website. I’ll go into more details on the release and product when it’s made which should be this coming week.  




7. Watermelon Mint is all about and infusion idea I had and it’s becoming a reality soon. I think it will be an awesome hot weather aroma blend. It’s all natural and I’ll post more details when it’s close to release which should be in 2 to 3 weeks at the most. 




8. Last but not least are all the Bay Rum products.  New batches of the Traditional Bay Rum that now also includes both a EDT and the new Tallow Based Roll - Up Shave Stick. 

Also the release of the new Tortola F Based Shave Soap, an EDT and a Non Alcohol Skin Food Lotion.  

Tortola is one of my go to scents right now so I’m pretty excited and looking forward to having more than a Skin Food Splash in the Aroma





Oh and I almost forgot one that I’ll be making and release within the next 3 weeks

I have gotten a few messages on the Honeysuckle’s and the release asking for a pre order. If you want the Shave Soap and Splash I’ve decided I’m going to set aside some sets for pre orders. on a first come basis. I will be giving you a link that will enable you to see the products and place your order. So I’ll start taking pre orders this coming Friday as it will probably be about 10 days before the Honeysuckle is ready to be shipped.

I’m also going to take pro orders on the Watermelon Mint as that will be a limited seasonal release . In other words I’ll only be making it once for this year and if there is a good demand for it I will come out with next year in the late spring/early summer.

I'm made the Honeysuckle today and the Essential Oil smells so good in the Shave Soap base and it actually reminds me of something from my childhood and I like it!  

So here's my final decision on the Honeysuckle. This will only be available on the ETHOS website. So it's not going to the vendors at least for this first batch. If I find that it's in big demand moving forward I'll make another batch and send it out to my vendors. There are plenty of new things coming that they will be getting and I have two new vendors so another reason I'm not sending the Honeysuckle out is this batch won't fulfill all of them so not fair.  So there is no need for a Pre - Order on the regular 4.5 oz size. However I am doing sort of a Pre - Order on this particular release as I made eight  7.5 oz jars and they will be on a first come first serve basis. So if anyone would like a larger size drop me an email which you will find on the ETHOS website and ask that one of the 8 be put away for you.. please include name and address information even though I probably have it if you've ordered from me in the past. One 7.5 oz to a customer please. Like I mentioned in a former post I'm slowly going to be bringing back the 7.5 oz size in some of the scents and maybe all in the future. 

This place smells pretty awesome right now and this has been a fun project and thanks to the members who requested and pushed me to do Honeysuckle. I don't know if I posted the ingredients in the Shave soap but I'll post them up so you can see that there's only two Honeysuckle Aroma ingredients and their both Organic natural aromatics. No synthetics in this one.  

Oh BTW the Honeysuckle will probably be ready for shipment somewhere around 10 days from now as the label company seems to be backed up a bit as we just got a message from them.

Stunningly beautiful label Frank. I'm a fan of other soaps with honeysuckle, so I'm betting this would have been a winner for me. Unfortunately, I've given up scented soaps. Maybe, if it's a big enough hit, we'll see a hand soap for next summer? Lol. I'm planning on widening my variety of those, as I need my scents somehow.

After some discussions, suggestions and input I’ve come to a conclusion that what people have been saying is kinda true. The problem that some members brought up is they find it hard to find specific posts in this thread that’s over 400 pages long. I totally understand as I have had problems finding things as well. So I’m going to start to use my Merchant section for new release and keep them about each one so this way the thread is focused on one product or a particular scent or whatever the subject of the original post is about. 

I’m still going to be active in here as I’ve had to much fun and made a heck of a lot of friends from this thread. Also the fact that Mark ShaveMD started it I’m not about to abandon it. 

Hope you all understand my reasoning on this subject.

Frank, not sure if you know, but TRC listed the Violeta products like a week ago... I thought everyone was doing the general release at the same time. Just FYI.

I guess it was nice having all ETHOS related activity in one place but yeah it’s quite ungainly to go back.

I “subscribed” to the ETHOS forum/page. I presume that means any updates anywhere in that forum I will receive a notification?
