Is it for diverse ingredients that are requested.  Could do it on a request basis. I don't like the multi-base issue - confounding for artisan most consumers. I gave up trying to keep up with A&E and GD base name changes & upgrades. Keep it simple. Offer the best base you can for the masses. And have other options per request I guess?  The old B&M base revisions were onerous as well. Maybe I am not sophisticated. Right Bluegrass? Is it my DNA deficiencies per my family tree?

F BASE!!!

Hello my friend

So that’s the whole idea is to simplify things for multiple reasons. Like I mentioned based on sales it’s probably 90% F Base to 10% S Base.  Having a Tallow Shave Creme I think also is a better option than having 2 Shave Soap bases. I know just from input I get from customers there are quite a few people that like shave creams so I wanted to provide then with what they want. As far as the F Base it’s pretty simple, It has one name. F Base. It has evolved as its had 2 improvements so far since it first came out but it’s still called F Base. So what I’m looking at is having just I Shave soap base  and a Shave Creme. Like I mentioned Tibu Saboni is it’s own base not like any other I’ve made and it’s one product that’s for people that have skin issues. As technology advances so it does too.

I said it shortly after starting ETHOS that  I didn’t want to have a bunch of base names. So bottom line I’m with you on that.

all the best

Frank
Right on Frank! The F base is so damn good you don't need another puck formula/base.

Looking forward to trying the tallow creams.

Will be easier for you and your clientele!

Thank you all for confirming what I was thinking is the best move going with just the F Base Shave Soap and the Tallow Shave Creme.

I totally agree with your decision on F Base and Tallow Creme. I enjoy both hard pucks and soft creams. I am really looking forward to your Rosa. When might that Rosa Creme be available?

Thanks for the input and the Rosa Labels just arrived at my door when I got home from work yesterday afternoon. So I’ve got to make some of the post shave products and then get everything labeled so I’m thinking that should be done by the end of this week. Then I’ve got to ship the products to my vendors so we can all launch at the same time.  So that’s roughly another week. So figure anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks.

Regards

Frank

I said with small font but can you imagine if all 36 skin beneficial ingredients that are in the EOS Complex were listed on the ingredient list! I explained o him that not only are there the 36 ingredients in the Complex but some of the Trademarked or patented ingredients are made up of 2 or 3 ingredients themselves so I went trough them all out of curiosity and if I break each one down and count them all it actually totals 51 individual ingredients.  So I  put up a Shave Soap ingredient list below just for the fun of it so you could imagine what an ingredient list would look like if you added 51 additional ingredients to the list. It would be double what the ingredient list is below.
To fit on a label the font would be so small you’d need a magnifying glass to see the ingredients. Lol

Ingredients: Aloe Vera Juice, Stearic Acid, Grass Fed Beef Tallow, Duck Fat, Organic Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, Kokum Butter, Mango Butter, Organic Glycerin, Potassium Stearate, Sheep Milk, Coconut Milk, Sodium Hydroxide, Grass Fed Bison Tallow, Argan Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Organic East Indian Sandalwood Essential Oil, Mysore Sandalwood Accord, Mysoral Sandalwood Accord, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute Oil, Vintage 1960 Mysore Sandalwood Essential Oil, Benzoin Resin Oil, Orris Butter Resin 10%, Myrrh Essential Oil, EOS Complex, Allantoin, Oat Amino Acids, Silk Amino Acids, Soy/Rice Peptides, Sorbitol, Organic Vitamin E Oil, Sodium Lactate, Xanthan Gum, Lanolin, Capritolin (Natural Preservative) Calendula Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Comfrey Extract, Milk Thistle Extract, Chamomile Extract.

For all that celebrate have a great Easter Sunday!

Hi Frank,

I remember reading somewhere about the addition of ostrich butter in your soaps. Not sure where, it may have been here or IG.... Will it be introduced in your new soap base from now on, or was it already added in your latest creations( Sandalo Artistico, etc. )? To me, the Sandalo Artistico behaves differently than any of your soaps, in a good way.... the skin conditioning is out of this world. I can literally feel the difference while shaving.
Thanks in advance for your kind reply!

Hello Sir

So Yes I’m using Ostrich Oil ( not butter ) along with some other new ingredients in the latest version of the F Base.  So right now the only shave soaps that have these new ingredients is the Sandalo Artistico and the Bay Rum. The Bergamotto also has them as well. The new Rosa and Ravello also have them and all others that will follow will have them. Ostrich oil is the only FDA approved transdermal oil and it has 10 times the Omega Fatty acids as the closest oil to it. I’m glad you noticed a difference in the new F Base.

Thank you for the questions.

Frank
