ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

UPDATE:

Blood Orange February 30th

Made and labeled. Just need to get these out to all my vendors so I figured the 30th but maybe a little sooner.  This is my first release of the new Tallow Shave Creme. I shaved with it a couple of days ago and a couple of tips. Start out with about a half an Almond size in your bowl and a wet shaken out brush. Then add water a little at a time. To me the post shave is more similar to my F Base. Kind of time released is the only way I can describe it. The Aroma is done using only one ingredient. Blood Orange Essential oil I get from Italy. I can see adding a couple of drops of Ice Dragon in the Summertime to this one for sure.

Lol. Don't push yourself too hard Frank. We can wait if needed. That said, I'm quite curious about this scent. I definitely like the sweeter soaps.

Lol. Don't push yourself too hard Frank. We can wait if needed. That said, I'm quite curious about this scent. I definitely like the sweeter soaps.

I’m doing much better and have a lot of catching up to do but I’ll get there. Just takes working on a few weekends and with this weather around here not much else to do. Lol

Little bit of info.

I’ve seen it posted a few times here and there that ETHOS is on the expensive side and I won’t go into why my soaps are but more interesting is one of my good customers sent me a list of a bunch of different shave soaps he uses and I won’t post up the other brands as that’s not my job but the 2 ETHOS soaps he’s finished where the Lavender Supreme 7 oz in the original S Base at $36 and the limited release Vanilla Safi 7 oz in the new S Base at $185. Lavender Supreme and the price per shave he came up with was $.28 cents per shave and the number of shaves he got out of the jar was 190. The Vanilla Safi came out at $.88 cents per shave and he got 170 shaves out of the jar. So what caught my eye was out of the various different soaps he’s finished off and documented the Lavender Supreme was the lowest cost per shave out of all of them. It wasn’t the most expensive soap but it also wasn’t the least expensive as well. An surprisingly even the Vanilla Safi wasn’t the most expensive per shave as there were two others that cost more per shave on his list. Oh and BTW he mentioned he loads on the heavy side as he’s a 4 pass shaver and puts another coating on after the 4 passes that he leaves on while he’s cleaning up his gear.

Interesting as I’ve always wondered about this but don’t have the time and probably not the patience to do this kind of test myself lol

So it’s the first documentation of my Shaves soaps price per shave and number of shave per jar.

Now that's dedication! Shaving every day is rare enough but shaving every day for the past 6 months with the same soap is quite another (even if, in the case of Safi, it the best soap ever produced). So essentially this guy buys a tub of soap using it virtually exclusively from cracking the jar until done and dusted. Gotta admire the discipline
