The grinder is as important as your espresso machine so never spend money on an expensive espresso machine and cheap out on the coffee grinder. When i bought my gear it was very important to get a machine with the option to get any part I need because you will have to replace, maintain and sometimes try to figure out what the cause is of a malfunction. It will happen no matter how much you spend on your espresso machine. Easy access to the inside of your machine is always a bonus.

Use the correct water as too much mineral deposit will clog up and destroy parts of your machine if not maintained and cleaned properly.

Since I like to make myself the occasional latte it was very important having a powerful steamer. Size was also important. I ended with the ECM Mechanica V Slim as it checked all the things I was looking for. It has served me well all these years and I have no complaints whatsoever. ECM is a German company but manufactured in Milan, Italy.

As to the grinder I ended up with Eureka Mignon Specialita. It can grind anything from coarse to espresso.

It's been around for a while and rather popular. Parts are pretty much available from many online places. You have several online stores in Canada that specialize in the sale of machines and repair so you're good to go.

That's something I cannot tell you because it's very personal. I chose ECM for several reason and you might have other priorities on your list. First you will need to write down your budget range. Is latte or being able to steam a lot very important? Do you entertain a lot and need to be able and pull many shots. Do you want a single or double boiler? heat exchanger? is PID important to you? pre-infusion? So as you can see there's many options and choices. I like the ECM brand so that's what I will always recommend. I have no experience with any of the other brands but you also can't go wrong with La Spaziala, Rocket, Rancilio, La Marzocco, Lucca, Lelit, Profitec, Bezzera,...

Thank you Max for recomendations well there is quite few I personally I like but it’s comes down with the price even tho regardless the price I prefer quality over quantity and something that I would enjoy my self personaly and be happy with..

Hi Max

Well after search and research I finnaly settled on Bezzera Magica E61XH I like it’s design craftsmanship and durability they been kicking around since 1901 not bad…

Now this wasn’t cheap but worth it and I’m quite happy with it!

For Grinder I setteled for Rancilio Rocky it’s durable well built and parts are always availabe knowing me I’ll buy spare parts to have in hand down the road!

Now I need to practise with it and get that perfect extraction  Happy2

But what’s the most important it’s a real Esspresso Machine and something I can enjoy years to come!
