That's an interesting, blade loading, system.
I'm trying to figure out how the faceplate is able to slide shut, when a blade is loaded.
Is there a cut out section so that the blades are 'seated' within the razor head? If so, how does it affect the clamping...because there are no springs and AC blades are thicker than DE blades.
Hmmmmm!
Most of all...welcome to the forums and thanks for sharing your time. I've been following the development of this razor for a little while now.
Good question, thanks!
There is a small cut out section of 0.1mm. But at the lowest point of the razor, the Bladeholder and the Cap touch each other again.
This allows you to slide in the cap more easy, while at the same time clamps the razor blade within the two parts.
As the AC blades are arround +- 0.25mm you need to put slight pressure on the tail while sliding the cap back in. Just at the beginning when the razor blade touches the razor. As soon as the razor is over the razor blade you can release the pressure and slide it in normally.
After done 2-3 times, loading the razor becomes intuitive.
It's an easy and fast process that should not cause any problems when you know how to do it.
But we will make a more professional "how to load the razor" video and mention your points there again when the razor becomes available.
I hope that answers your question.
