Coney Island Hard Root beer. Tastes just like root beer. Great stuff!

Oooo, I was reared just two neighborhoods away from Coney Island (I lived in Sheepshead Bay, then came Brighton Beach, and finally, Coney Island). So, does it taste like cotton candy (cotton floss for you Brits Wink )?  I mean, really, root beer is just so not Coney Island. Big Grin

Well I don't get cotton candy but I do get a nice root beer/anise taste from it. It's a sleeper though! You can go through them like it's nothing and then it hits you!

Meh!  Red wine all the way. Big Grin  (Just pulling your leg, Freddie, though red wine over beer would almost always be my choice. Winking)

I've had the Coney Island root beer. They're good, but I can have 1 and that's it. It's just too sweet for my taste. IPAs on the other hand...

Never delved to much in to wines Freddy, but of reds my favorite is a local. Chatteau Morrisette Red Mountain Laurel. Other than that I enjoy a nice Moscato.

I haven't tried the Coney Island version yet, but I did hear that it's not as sweet as the not your grandfather's root beer....that stuff was ridiculously sweet to me. like you said, 1 and done for me as well.
