Scored a bottle of Pliny the Elder today Big Grin

Actual conversation at the liquor store today:
Me: Do you have any Pliny?
Owner: Yes....[walk towards the back room]...one.
Me: Do you have two?
Owner: I wouldn't even let my hot girlfriend buy two. You can only buy one.
Me: Can I buy it and come back in and buy another one?
Owner: See you next week

So what's the Pliny Elder all about?
Made in Russian River it's one of highest rated IPAs ever made - it often scores 100/100 on review sites.
It's released in very small batches so that the consumer will have it at its freshest (this lot apparently came in yesterday).

Price: $7 for a 16.09oz bottle.
(But...then you can sell the empty bottle for $5 on eBay Smile )

How good was it?
I'll tell you tomorrow (I made the mistake telling a friend about it and now she's coming over tonight).

I love this, I am a big craft beer fan. In fact I enjoyed two cans tonight from Magic Rock in the UK. Highwire and Salty Kiss both are great beers.

The extremely highly touted Cloudwater Double IPA version 2 has just come out over here and people are going wild for it.

So today I am enjoying a fine bottle of sherry by Bodegas Baron this is from their XIXARITO line. This one in particular is the Manzamilla which Is a very dry style of sherry. I enjoyed this with a very nice fish dish in the company of friends.

So how was it? I love IPAs but I've never seen this one.

If you love that whiskey, you have money.

Yes, that glass is neat. I have a small collection of booze glasses. I can get the glasses for not that much money.
