Last beer for a little while. Starting a ketogenic diet soon. This one is a bit too malty and too much caramel for my liking in an IPA. Not bad, just not one I would get again.

Ice water from the famous Snake River Plain aquifer 156ft below my toes. I've had fine waters from across the globe and sampled the wares of many noted water purveyors but when I get back home, nothing matches my home well water.

'660, I have never partaken of the water to which you refer, but I think much the same thing about our well water. I've even been known to take a few gallons with me if I leave for a time. It makes great beer too. In the case of our well It's 185' down in granite. There's no tellin' where the actual source is. We could be drinking from water that is from the glaciers of 10k years ago, or recent ground filtered water. I just know that it's very good water. A friend of ours had a well drilled and for a time the water was good, then one day it was suddenly salty. No doubt an underground lake of ancient salt water somehow infiltrated in. She's at least 60 miles from the ocean.

Being originally from Belgium, having lived 15 minutes from the brewery and being raised on Duvel, this tops as one of the best beers in the world for me.

You should come visit. Plenty of sunshine and there's always plenty of Belgian beer in my house to share  Big Grin .
