A gent recently suggested a new scotch to me. Claimed it was the equivalent of a 200 year old scotch.

Cutting to the chase, it's the nicest scotch to ever pass my lips, great flavor and extremely smooth. FWIW, it's not priced like a 200 year old scotch but the wife did tell me that it wasn't going to be an everyday scotch as she paid for it. I like scotches that give me more than I pay for and while not inexpensive this scotch definitely fits that category.

It's Glenmorangie Highland single malt Quinta Ruben. It's 12 years old and is finished off the last 2 years in port casks. That last gives it a wonderful flavor and color. If you can find it and want to spring for it you'll like it if you like scotch. If you don't like it just send it to me and I absolutely guarantee that I'll like it.

Yes it is Celestino. It's a Spiegelau IPA glass. I'm still surprised at how a glass can change the characteristics of a drink.

I've been working through their selection as I can. Haven't had a bad one yet. When I picked up the Hop Stoopid I was deciding between that and their Undercover Shutdown. Hopefully that will still be at the store when I'm ready.

Undercover is good too. You should try Equinox if you can find it.

Also picked up a half growler of Stone Enjoy By 7.4.17. The keg ran out while they were filling it up for me so they let me have it at no charge. Sweet!

I've eaten and the dogs, our kids, suggested to me that I enjoy 2 fingers of Glenmorangie Highland single malt Quinta Ruben. As I write that's what's in my glass. Very nice! Right now all is well with the world, or at least us and Scotland.

I hope you all had a great Fathers Day, and that it just gets better as the day goes on!
