Does anyone know of a splash aftershave, perhaps one of the Fougères, that is close in scent to the original Penhaligon's English Fern?
TIA.

Barrister & Mann will soon release a copy of the classic Houbigant Fougere Royale as part of its Barristers Reserve line. I had the privilege of sniffing the pre-production stuff a few weeks ago here in Seattle. I'd suggest that you wait for the B&M product.

I have a bottle of Barristers Reserve Spice, which is intended to mimic vintage Shulton Old Spice from the '60s and '70s, of which I own several bottles. The similarity is uncanny.

P.S. I see you're in Seattle. Did you happen to attend the Seattle Shave Con? That's where Will shared the fougere splash.

CCity, is that the Reserve Fern? I didn't get to sniff that one, but at the Maggard meet-up he had the Lavender to test out. It was very nice!

Yes, as I recall Will called it "Fern." It was very impressive.

I haven't smelled the aftershave from wholly caw as the bottle was sealed for the Movember contest here in a few weeks, but the fern concerto soap smells fantastic...
