Hey guys I recently picked up a rather inexpensive electric smoker to give it a go.Anybody else on here into that style of cooking?
Last weekend we smoked a 10lb Boston Butt for pulled pork sandwiches(It turned out amazing for my first time trying my hand at it)

As I type this,we have 4 racks of babyback ribs on the smoker and am getting ready to prep some Jalapeno's for some ABT's(Atomic Buffalo Turds)to go on later.
Hopefully we can share some recipe's here if anyone is interested!!!

I have a Masterbuilt that I received as a gift last year, have used it close to 10 times and I still feel like I'm getting the hang of it. A good friend of mine has basically the same model and he did the 'mailbox mod' to his, not sure I'll be going that far...
I did get one of the A-Maze-N pellet trays, I need to experiment with some different pellets for that but I feel like it generates more consistent smoke than chips in the smoke box being warmed by the heating element.

What kind of smoker are you using for your Boston Butt? I've got a couple of Big Chief smokers I use for fish and jerky but the Traeger does the pork butts. Turkeys. Ribs

A 30" Masterbuilt for right now.May upgrade to a larger electric or may go with a Traeger myself.A buddy of mine has a Traeger,he highly recommends it

Been busy with the little snow storm we had but here are a couple pics of the outcome,the stuffed Jalepeno's were amazing!!!!!

One of my brothers uses a Bradley electric smoker. It looks like a bar fridge with a gizmo on the side and it does a respectable job. I use a Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker - its a charcoal fired water smoker - it has a big water bowl at the bottom of the tower just above the charcoals. It acts as a heat sink, moisturizer and fat catcher. It requires more hands on attention and damper fiddling than electric smokers but I've been happy with the results. And I like fiddling.

It told me something when my brother brought up short ribs for me to cook in my ceramic cooker. He has a Bradley and loved the ribs.

I had a royal oak electric smoker. It was my first smoker that I got. Just wanted to see how much I'd use a smoker.

I hear the masterbuilts have a good reputation on the smoking forums.

Those ribs and ABTs look like they turned out great.

In now using a propane smoker by camp chef. It's gotten alot of use in the year I've owned it.

Ribs
Pork shoulder
Bacon
Pork loines
Chops
Briskets
Chicken
Fattys
Beef jerky
Cheese

Are some of the things I have smoked up on it so far.
