Earthy fougere...what to buy?

Some of your ideas were grat and also some of your suggestions.
Reef point santal is an oriental fougere for example.So although it is earthy it is not exactly a fougere scent.Not a classical one to be more specific.
I hear the same for CRSW fougere moderne where some say it smells like tabac.Thanks for clarifying that it is mildly scented.That was very informative...
I am sure to buy beaudelaire for sure.I am also interested in ~the shaving shop~ fougere offers.
I sure have to check paa dirt although they are mediocre performers for me(pasty lather that clogs my razors).I know they offer strong scents and a large variety so this is a plus.
Are there any more suggestiosn as ttffc fougere?Any more reviews on how the scents smell?

p.s i thought tierra humeda(wet earth) was e vetiver scent.Is it really a fougere one?

rhtoras I don't care for the scent of Tabac and don't get any similar notes from CRSW Fougere Moderne. I have not used it in a while but may have to break it out tomorrow to refresh but it is a green, fresh scent. Not as powdery and floral as Tabac.

Also, on the PAA if it is pasty and clogging your razors sounds like it may not be hydrated quite enough? I have only recently tried PAA products but have found the performance to be solid and not pasty, etc. although fairly water tolerant.

PAA 3.0 and Crown King are two of the best performing soaps I have ever used. If the lather is pasty I can only assume it is not hydrated enough as mentioned above. The lathers is perfect for me and never clogs my razor. I do recall when I first used PAA 3.0 it was a little gooey or pasty when loading the first time, sort of like some of the Catie's Bubbles I've owned, but I just added more water and it was good to go. That was the first use when the soap was soft and creamy feeling on top, but after the first load I never had that problem again. I will say it is the thirstiest soap I've used. Add water, then add more water, and then add even more water and it should be good.

I have not tried Dirt but if you want you can order the aftershave/cologne sample from PAA for 0.99 cents plus $1.50 shipping, and you can get up to 9 samples for that same $1.50 shipping. Out of the fougere scents I've tried I like Deja Fougere from PAA best, but it's not the strong earth scent you're searching for. You may want to try their Fu Fougere or Dirt. However, I haven't tried either of those, only read the descriptions and reviews.

There is of course a slight powdery top note with some floral and citrus but the lion share I get is herbaceous: fern, moss, etc.

That's crazy, lol.....You are correct!

Guys i have a question for you...I just smelled the LPL fougere cologne...
I first thought it smells like the traditionell a little bit rather than English Fern and other ferny scent's.Is it my idea?
Btw the small differences made me think that it is a true fougere,with herbal elements, rather than a herbal only scent which is the traditionell.
What do you think?

Though I haven't tried mine yet, from the tin it's pretty strong and earthy. I look forward to trying it, and the performance is supposedly excellent.
