Dragonsbeard review and pass around

As Sargent Schultz always said "I know nothing" but .... the DB ETHOS soap is damn good especially the post shave feel and I am looking forward to the upcoming releases.

I was unable to use the Dragonsbeard collection I bought as I realized the oud scent triggers my Asthma, so Frank sent me a sample of an unscented skin food to try. I believe he will have an unscented soap shortly and these will be part of his Pure collection.I am a daily shaver and have been using the skin food for 1 week now. The first night I had some "pins & needle" feeling for a few hours but great feeling post shave. The second night I had this feeling for about an hour and now for the last 5 nights, no feelings at all. I apply the skin food just like I would my Aftershave following my Thayers, clean my equipment then the skin food. I have definitely noticed, and more importantly, so has my wife, that my face feels softer and more hydrated. I have a medicine cabinet filled with all kinds of AS, Balms and oils and none of them have worked as well as the skin food. Goes on easy, dries quickly, no oily residue and I wak up with very smooth feeling skin. I look forward to what Frank aka Dragonsbeard will release next.

Thank you and I’m glad it’s working well for you. Yes the Pure Collection Skin Food Splash is complete and I’m just waiting on the labels and I just about finished with the unscented shave soap so both will be released shortly along with some other scents.

I am now 2 1/2 weeks into using the unscented or Pure Ethos Skin food or Aftershave and I have to give it a huge thumbs up. It is leaving my face soft and hydrated without any oily feeling. This is by far the best product I have tried since I started wetshaving decades ago. I think Frank has a real winner here and I can use it with any soap or cologne I want.

I had made about 25 bottles of unscented Skin Food Splash and was waiting until the final label design was complete and Mark aka Shavemd asked me to purchase one of the bottles and didn’t care if it had a label on it. Being a friend I just sent him one as I wanted him to test it out. We just finished the label design so I’m ordering all of the labels for all the upcoming releases. 

I’ll post up the releases as they are labeled. The Lavender shave soap and Skin Food splash is first along with the unscented Skin Food splash with the matching soap right behind it. Right behind those are the Pineapple Noir Shave soap, Skin Food splash and an EDP and a special release of a Skin Food splash made with real Mysore Sandalwood oil I obtained from India. It also has a little surprise in the bottle.  More releases to follow after those including the beta version of the Dragonsbeard Shave soap, Skin Food splash and a hair/body wash. Post shave serum and balm are in the works as well.
