I told Darktrader he can swap my spot and the next guy on the list, if that's alright with all.

Fine with me and do you want to be placed at the current bottom of the Laura as that’s the only thing I’m not clear on.
Thanks my friend!

Yes sir, the bottom of the list is fine. I'm using the new Taiga next week, so I'll keep to some more familiar soap for that trial/test , that's all. Thanks buddy.

I’m on that list to try the Taiga also and I’m really looking forward to shaving with it.

Same here, I think you might be directly after me, it's a great opportunity.

Some quick thoughts on the second and third shave. Not finding it to be a very thirsty soap. The final shaves were better than the first as I began to zero in on the sweet spot. I believe most will agree that 2-3 uses is not enough quality time with a soap but enough to form a decent impression. What I did find is that my skin feels rather good - well hydrated and not oily which never works for me. My overall and very subjective impression is what sets DB apart from other new artisan products is that my skin does not feel at all irritated by any of the components. More often than not I am finding that some new products and / or the new and improved formulation seems to be a mess of ingredients that are included because they are said to be beneficial but feel incoherent in execution. Today the kit will continue its journey.

My thanks to Dragonsbeard for the opportunity to experience the soap and splash. Very impressed and looking forward to the new releases. My only disappointment is that the set is not in my den.

Cool so you’ll be shipping it to me. I’m a big fan of the Gibbs so I can’t wait to do a side by side Shave Off with the 2 razors set on their max settings. If Taiga can match all the shaving proneness of the Gibbs then I’m all in on one because I not only won’t have to modify a blade but spend as much time making sure that the blade is perfectly aligned because if it’s not it greatly effects the shave results. So yeah I’m excited to try it and as a bonus I hear they have an OC plate coming out which is a first for an Adjustable razor and a Ti handle option. Smart thinking on their part IMHO.

Darktrader
Thank you so much for all your input and feedback as it’s very much appreciated! A good point you made about throwing a lot of ingredients in a formula. It takes a lot of research & development to mix a lot of ingredients together and have them work in harmony. Example that’s why sometimes less is better if someone doesn’t have the ability to do their R&D. That’s why I love soaps like MDC for example. Simple ingredients, decades of knowledge making soap. Consistency is very important and what one of my main focuses is on. Took me about 2 yrs to get the EOS Complex where it is today and based on people’s feedback it is giving me the input I need to determine dosage percentages I’ll be using in different products I’ll be releasing moving forward.

As far as getting a set in your den pm me and we’ll see what we can do about that.

Thanks again my friend!

I've shaved with the Gibbs a few days now, and the Rex. Just wanted to kind of get used to those again before the Taiga comes for a visit. I also think the OC plate and TI handle options are a great move.
Frank, I'll look forward to seeing your shave off comparison, as I've learned to trust and look for your opinions and thoughts on these things as well as the other more experienced shavers.

I’m glad you have both razors this way another voice/viewpoint on the comparison between the Gibbs and Taiga can be posted up. Thank you for the kind words as well my friend.
