I used to shave every 2-3 days depending on my mood or how my skin was feeling or whatever, but for the last month or better I've been shaving everyday. I'm the type of person that if I get into a routine, I stick with it. If I start doing something on a daily basis, it becomes "necessary" or something feels a bit off. A little OCDish, I know. So it became with shaving, which is good in the interest of using up more product. Tongue

Enter this week where it is my turn with the Seygus pass-around razor. For the first 3 days I did my daily shave and then decided I wanted to put the razor to the test on multiple days growth. I shaved Monday morning and skipped Tuesday and Wednesday (well, sort of). Wednesday took a shower as I normally do. After that, proceeded to load a brush and lather up only to wash it off my face! I wanted to at least get part of the experience in that I completely missed the day before. I know this sounds ridiculous (and a little embarrassing I might add), but am I a wetshaving addict or just losing my mind?

I am a daily shaver now too. Used to be every 2-3 days and run with a little rough beard as I hated shaving. Now it's a big part of my routine and I find that if something disrupts my morning shave, it can actually make me really grouchy.

But yes... you are also losing your mind. Welcome to the club.

I lost mine a long time ago, they're overrated you know Smile  On the subject of things being "off" until I read the thread on whether you disassemble and rinse / clean / dry your razor after every shave I wasn't doing that.  It had never occurred to me to do it.  I live in a dry climate so things never really rusted.  Well, I thought I'd give it a try and now I must do it every time or something feels off.  Confused

That Bald Guy with the Big Beard
Bishop, CA
I've had a short beard for 20 years because I despised shaving. I still have a big, huge beard, but now I shave my head every night after work. Haven't missed a shave since November 13, 2015. On Sundays, I often get 2 in...I'll shave first thing in the morning, and then again at around 7pm...

I'm so addicted to shaving my head that I am currently contemplating how I will shave around the gash I put in the top of my head last night, so I can let the cut heal, but still get my 3-pass shave in for the night...

I can't stand not shaving these days. It must be done...

Once I started wet shaving I too began shaving daily. It's the best part of my routine. heck I've shaved twice a day a few times recently.

Now if I put a lather on my face only to rinse it off and not shave it would be to test a new soap or sample, to make sure it isn't going to irritate my skin. I'd rather do that then begin a shave only to have to stop in the middle and take the lather off because my face lit up.

Jeff,

I think you have just come to your senses.

I have always shaved every day and for most of my 83 years it was a tedious, get it over with as soon as possible, chore.

About 4 years ago I met up with wet shaving.
I am hooked. What joy. What pleasure. What varieties. What challenges. What opportunities.

I feel the much longer time I now spend shaving improves my mental attitude and eagerness to face the day.

I just wish I could speed up the growth of my whiskers. They are so slow. I wonder if there is some kind of fertilizer.

Come on, Kevin.

You must admit it is a magnificent thing.

You don't see great shrubbery like that every day.

Mickey, you are 100% on point. Chris's beard is brilliant. My only hangup, I have never let mine go like that and frankly not sure I could even come close!
