Does anyone have a Yaqi “High Mountain” baby blue brush?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has the brush linked below? I am primarily focused on finding out two things. Does the knot have a glue bump or is the entire exposed loft allowed to bend or be squeezed in the middle? Second, how soft is the hair? I’m hoping to hear it isn’t the softest as well as confirmation that it is a non gel tip brush. I have a feeling I have tried quite a few Yaqi knots but under private label. I suspect this is pretty close to my top performing brush so I was hoping to hear fromothers if they have one before I pull the trigger.

I don’t have it, but I would be extremely surprised if it was gel tipped. I’ve never experienced any 3-band Silvertip being this way. 

Wish I could help! That’s just an area I don’t go down really anymore. The stuff from other places than the large manufacturers don’t do it for me more often than not.

It‘s not gell tipped, bit scritchy and floppy. It opens up well. Almost no glue bump.

Thanks for your reply Navitimer and that is about what I expected. But I think I will snag one but in case it is worth anything, I took this photo last night. This is the brush (or one of many like this knot) that I think is from the same manufacturer. This is my best lathering brush I have around. By the way, I would say that this knot has the perfect amount of backbone and does offer some soft scrub but very much a luxury feeling face lathering knot.

kooshman7 I think you may want to consider this brush above. I know you have tried even more badger brushes than I have but we also like quite a few of the same things. I’ll do an update after I snag one and let you know what it is like. Great deal and value!

I bought it last year during the sale and liked it but it was too soft. Ended up selling and keeping the normal yaqi 2 band brush. The quality was great for the price! It was just a little too floppy for my taste.

I have had this brush for two years, i find it soft and with a hair that absorbs water well, unfortunateli it has little backborn

A number of people I know really like the “High Mountain” Yaqi. It is interesting the thoughts of users. Very insightful. I was on the Australian Yaqi and they are out of stock. I will get one when they are back in stock. Thanks for all the thoughts.

I wasn’t a fan of this brush, sold mine. Mine had too many prickly hairs and it made for a face-feel that was not what I was looking for. It felt a lot bigger than the advertised 24mm size but was floppier than I wanted and didn’t work well for me for face-lathering.
